So I'm presuming despite SOO Mary still has to name a squad of 21 tomorrow 4pm.
Wondering if Widdop will be named - if not he has another 8 days before Bulldogs game on Monday week.
What will the 21 look like assuming he would consider possible injuries (or rest) to Duges or Friz?

Given that Duges is playing Centre in the next 3 SOO and we need to find a FB for next year, I'd like to see him continue to play at 3 this weekend, and try one of Field, Dufty or Mann in FB depending on wether Widdop is playing. We have a golden opportunity here to trial these guys at FB over the next few weeks against Tigers, Bulldogs and Parra.
This would surely tighten our right side D,
give us an insight into our FB options and add some much needed spark at the back.
i agree totally with this..Field to FB would be nice

Widdop will be back just in time for Kasiano to lays his knees in Widdop's back whilst he is on the ground.

This period sux big time. Not only for the Origin players backing up but this 1 week delay after the team is on a roll. It's stops the momentum. If the Dragons played this game straight after the Warriors game I would be so much more confident, instead they play them after a week of rest. Luckily Tigers also had the bye so they will have a bit of rust as well.

Mary will play Duges at fullback as per what he has stated in the past. "Whilst I am coach Dugan will be our fullback". But hey, it's a 50/50 chance he will play. They are waiting till the last day to announce him fit for origin so if he does play I am assuming he will not be 100%. It's as if the QLDers will not target a player not 100% fit? My bet is if he plays he will succumb to another injury and miss more games. If he doesn't play, he won't be fit enough for the Tigers games.

I would prepare the team as if he was not playing and if he does it is a bonus.

With all the garbage he has thrown at the club about us not respecting him etc, do you think he should play. I mean the Sharks respected him so much when he had no club but anyway apparently they respect him more. His comments have left a bad taste and I would seriously consider playing him in the Cutters. If Saints don't respect him like he says then they should at least start showing it.

I would be suprised if Dugan backed up for the Tigers game.
I think our team will look something like:
F/b - Nighty
W - Nene and Mann (assume Widdop plays if not ten KFFL)
C - Lafai and Milne
6 - Widdop (Mann if not)
7- McCrone

Forwards will be as previous alrhough watch on Friz ti see if he comes through SOO ok. If not id like to see Leilua get a run as the edge forward.

#17 - Field.

I doubt also that McGregor will experiment with the team. Although I would try Field at f/b with Nighty back to wing and KFFL as the #17.

I've said this a few times now but alas, no movement at the station.

The Club pockets approx $100k for just showing up. This deal I thought expired next year. It's about cold hard cash and nothing else. The RGRV was smoke and mirrors mixed in with pseudo corporate jargon and Doustspeak.
Priority now is to start to clear this debt, which I thought was part of the whole WIN 50% stake offer which has gone cold.
Pretty complicated or as someone once said 'it's a mess'...
Ah but this deal will never happen while WIN TV won't rule out restructuring the management system. The Doust, Youngs and Millwards would not survive the cuts.

This game should be, based on form, a cakewalk for us. I would like to see Field and/or Dufty on the bench.
If we are in a position where we can't lose the game give one of them a run and see how they go.
They need to have some regular game time before 2018
No follow this statement saying how good Mary is as our coach.

Sadly it seems like it's required due in part to the horrid management coupled with poor on field performances over the last few seasons.

Once we get back to being competitive, it should hopefully stop and more games at our actual home grounds.
Is this enough to call for Doust and Mary to be sacked?

Good point about Field/Dufty but highlights how fkn conservative/clueless Mary is. We were belting the Warriors & he leaves Field on the bench until late when it would have been an ideal time bring him on so he could run amok. There was no chance of a loss and plenty of upside to building confidence.

As much as l would like Widdop to play, l'd hold him off for the extra weeks' rest, just to play safe.
In truth, we should beat the tigers so let's spare Widdop & Dugan.
Dugan has been out and to throw two games within a couple of days at him, is wrong.
Onwards and upwards people!

Good call
Bigger fish to fry later on, so why risk the crown jewels.
Honestly if we can't beat the Tigpies by 18+ without them, then we are truly imposters and waisting our time.

I dont understand with Field to fullback he has NEVER played there barr park football. Dufty for mind should be given a chance he has played there for the last five years including under 20s/18s SOO as FULLBACK its a no brainer
We have far too many no brainers to make a no brainer.
