It was your comment about Lichaa being one of the problems. You said they need big changes with Lichaa being one of them. Correct?

I get where you're coming from now. 'Big changes' related specifically to players hence the follow up question about Woods & Foran. Of course Hasler looks to have run his race but this was purely player related. I hope that's clearer about where I was coming from on this.

Shark patrol

Cronulla are considering making a play for Aidan Sezer if disgruntled playmaker James Maloney leaves the Shire outfit.

Maloney is contracted to the premiers for another season but believes he isn't being paid his market worth. Several clubs are watching the situation with interest and the Warriors are firming as a potential destination should a release be granted. The Sharks won't part with the NSW pivot unless a suitable replacement can be found and it remains to be seen whether Sydney-bound Cooper Cronk is a viable alternative.

Canberra will be one of the clubs under immense salary-cap pressure after overestimating the figure for next season, which is likely to be about $9.2 million. If the Green Machine is forced to jettison players, Sezer could be one of the men it reluctantly parts company with. That would free up the Sharks to make a play for the Raiders half in what would be a new-look halves combination with Chad Townsend.

Maloney has enjoyed success across the Tasman and the Warriors are keeping their options open after losing Kieran Foran to Canterbury.

Seriously, would Sharkies fans want Sezer? Or is it just your best option if you can't afford to upgrade Maloney?

Welcome Matt
He's spoken of his intention to abandon his NRL dream and return to Sydney, although we're hearing Matt Lodge may yet stay put in a bid to play for Brisbane next year.

Lodge has been plying his trade for Broncos feeder side Redcliffe, his version of purgatory following the wild night in the US that threatened his league career. A New York judge ordered the former Wests Tigers prop to pay $1.2 million in damages to his victims after his infamous Manhattan rampage.

The 22-year-old has indicated he will likely return to Sydney next year after facing bankruptcy, and several NRL clubs have been inquiring about his services. We've been told the Broncos haven't given up hope of changing his mind and are a big chance of signing him if the NRL integrity unit clears him to resume his first-grade career in 2018.

I think dogs problem lies with both Hasler, they aren't playing for him anymore, Mbye mostly and to an extent Reynolds. The team looks worse since they stopped playing Lichaa so I think that exempts him from the most recent slide.

Canterbury have been discreetly trying to offload some of their players without any luck, but rivals are eyeing off one of the stars the club doesn't want to lose.

Several clubs would love to have David Klemmer on their books and are keeping a close eye on the situation at Belmore. The Bulldogs are under pressure after overestimating what the salary cap will be for next season, but there has been little interest in the players they are shopping around.

It would be a much different story if Klemmer, arguably the game's form prop, was to suddenly become available. The NSW and Australian forward remains under contract and, compared with some of his teammates, is on a relatively modest deal.

The Bulldogs are hopeful someone will pick up some of his teammates, who are on heavily back-ended deals, but the few clubs with cash are keeping their powder dry.

Funny if more than just a rumour when you think about Woods signing there. Maybe no Klemmer & no finals.
Wonder what Woods missus thinks??

I know Manly have been keen on Klemmer for a while now.....

Something has to give soon for them.

Manly and the rest of the NRL if he became available.

Well the rest of the NRL can wish all they want.

The majority who would realistically land him are already over the proposed cap.

Manly have the cash and are a club players want to play at.

Still, who knows what happens until the whole dogs breakfast is sorted!

Wild night in the US? FMD. a wild night is big on the cans with a 5am finish. Not terrorising an entire neighbourhood including kids.

Hope the Broncos get him. He is the poster child for what those merkins do for the game.

Waiting for Grimey to ride in on his white horse and defend the indefensible.

Tigers still have the cash and cap space. Surely all the other NRL clubs would step back out of the way of the Tigers just for the pure LOLs @ Woods & Klemmer swapping clubs.

Lodge -> Newcastle

Agree with Pedge, would be a bad look for any club but he's good mates with SKD.

Is it like Donkey Land over there as well? One club cities, country's whatever?

Ok. Broncos fan. That sums up the initial bullshit post.

Where do you think Bird will play?

Lock unless something massive happens. I expect we will lose Blair and McGuire's experiment in the 13 will be short-lived with him returning to the front row.

Wayne's ego and a weakness in the position will mean Broncos will pay whatever it takes to get Ash Taylor. The kid will be worth every cent. Hard to spin home sickness when he plays his footy on the Goldie.

Maybe. Time will tell, but I think we can afford to wait. We can't 'talk' to him until November 1 and that is a long way off in rugby league terms.
