The Broncos/Cowboys Rivalry

Great game and great crowd last night particularly for a Thursday night.

Cowboys had a great season, they would have gotten up to 5th or 6th even without Jonathan Thurston and Matt Scott- but the injuries at the end of the season were absolutely unprecedented. Michael Morgan and Jason Taumalolo really put their hands up and took on larger roles and became leaders this year. There was some talk it would be doom and gloom for the Cowboys when Thurston retires. I think they have silence those murmurs this year.

Season still not over for the Cowboys if results go their way, but if they don't then they can still hold up their heads high.

The difference with Thurston and no Thurston will still be massive.

You win a whole bunch of close games every year if you have a thurston / smith / cronk in your side. Look at us at the raiders.

It was a solid game with a very good crowd for a Thursday night, but I doubt it could be classified as a "great' game I'm sorry davi. Most "great" games are great because it is a close game, with the lead see-sawing back and forth before a great piece of play separates the sides and a team wins it. Last night the Broncs lead from start to finish.

Even without JT the Cowboys have still been to competitive and they have Scott injured etc so they've gained respect from me. Well done to them for making a good fist out of this season.

They're not exactly gone yet

Dogs beat Dragons and they finish 8th.

I wouldn't put my house on the Dragons winning either they really are struggling to find points. If it hadn't been for some Tariq Sims magic against Penrith they would be looking to next year.

We are 5th in the comp for points scored.

Last 5 games we've averaged over 20 points a game. It's not setting the world alight, but it's not bad. Our issues are a lot deeper then not being able to score points.

I'm not sure how korbin is going to be able to help that either. Not a bad player, but he doesn't play for our club.
