Too many people have fixated on who the Cowboys are missing. Who replaced them is far more important. Te Maire Martin scored a try Thurston doesn't have in him (plus he's a better defender than JT), and without Scott they bring in Jensen and just give more runs to Taumalolo, plus more minutes to premiership winners Bolton and Asiata. Plus 150 game veteran Fensom.

If people weren't convinced the Cowboys deserved to be in the finals when they beat the premiers in week one they should've been convinced last week when they ground Parra out of the second half. They have no weaknesses. Meanwhile the Roosters have Aubusson and Matterson defending in the centres.

Nobody should've been surprised by this result. They shouldn't have been surprised by last week's eight point win over the Eels. The win over the Sharks showed they could beat anyone if they just hold the ball.
