We are in for a long season...

We will be lucky to avoid the spoon.

The coach wasn't the problem but we sacked him anyway. We should now be in a rebuilding phase but instead we've kept the nucleus of our non-performing team and bought one good player.

People sprouting off about Inglis coming back... He's just had a knee reco and will never be the same. Another year older and with no guarantee that he plays anymore football then he did last year.

Sutton hasn't been up to first grade standard for two years and yet we've let him go round again.

Our football department knows we have some glaring issues and yet we've done zero about them. Richo continues to try to find diamonds in the rough by talking to the likes of Stockwell, Carney and Hastings. All the while, we see the Roosters and Sharks trying to pinch the only bright spark we've seen around the club in the past 12 months, Crichton.

I've said it before but I think Richo's future should be linked to this Crichton contract. If Angus leaves then so should Richo.

Pains me to agree Richo is /was a smart operator but maybe he is past it or recruiting is just not his forte he should just stick to admin other teams have blokes like muholland and co running this

2018 recruitment isn't over yet though so we can't judge right now. Gagai was a great purchase if he can pull another 1 or 2 like that off then he would definitely be pulling it together. I'll judge him once we kick off for the 2018 season.

There is a lot of pessimism in these threads, people suggesting they are realists etc. I often felt throughout the season that our team lacked confidence and whilst the skill level is important belief in yourself is as critically important. We as fans have a responsibility to help grow that confidence in our team, constantly criticising them does nothing for their confidence and thank heavens they do not read these threads.

No one is immune its the internet remember??if you dont criticize and speak out from your heart and soul for a brighter future for your club/clubs then you dont truly care about the team and club that you support from 1908 past/ future 2017 and beyond .

We criticize the refs/bunker/nrl/media etc etc etc etc...FACT AGAIN!!!

The crowds are at their all time lowest for many years especially Souths attendances in 2017 in particular which is sad to see as i said many times before Crowe/Richo/co are to blame .

.I believe souths dont have the proper management in place after 2014 otherwise we would not be in this position 3 years after winning a grand final . i will not sugar coat things when it comes to souths appalling spiraling fall from the winners circle after 2014 i just wont . And lastly we are so so so far away from having a similar 2014 team its just heart breaking ....S h a d o w...
