It's a no brainer......

We need Cook obviously as he's much quicker and gets our forwards rolling and knows when to dart and gain easy ground.......

We don't need Farah stuffing things up and doing the opposite to what our halves want which was a strong rumour earlier in the year......

I can only remember Cook having one stinker of a game against Canberra where he just got his chance again starting and you could tell he was trying too hard.......

That's how you fit them all in if you sign Cronk. But then the problem is you have 4 players in your backline in Johnson, Gagai, Inglis and Brett Morris who are probably all better at full back than Cody Walker.

Now if 2 of these youngsters in: mailata/rodwell/taavale/or johnstone can step up to the plate in 1st grade for 2018 it does remain to be seen but if i was souths id be buying an international seasoned prop for 2018 well before these 4 kids debut in 2018 i dont believe in living in hope it always fails ...Shadow...

The situation that I can see happening is cronk coming to Souths. AR and Cody fighting it out for the number 6 spot and one of them being forced out at seasons end. I'm still of the belief that Cody is the better player for Souths but if we get Cronk and Cody goes I won't be tearing up my Souths jerseys either. We definitely need a player like cronk or Maloney if we're gonna be a top 8 chance next year. Gives the young kids like Hawkins and doueihi a few more years to develop and bulk up as well.

I don't disagree with some of what you say but i feel it'll be interesting to see who finishes higher on award night out of the two. In the forums 3-2-1 count, Farah was well ahead 2/3's of the way through the season. I don't doubt that Cook would've gained some ground at the back end but again it's a case of performing when the pressure of the season is off for him.
Personally, i care more that we play one for 80 minutes alone rather than use both in the 17. Both have their strengths and weaknesses.
Though i would hope we are looking for an upgrade on both.

I tend to agree with this--- Cook being in the engine-room of an NRL side concerns me.
He seems a much better fit as a winger or a halfback. If he's our No.1 choice to start fulltime at 9 I reckon he'll be targeted by the opposition big-time.
As I said,hooker is shaping up as a potential weakness;unless Robbie,of course,can show some of his true form!!

At least Farah can tackle with impact, provide go forward, supply good ball from play ball, basically everything a good hooker does. Could be why he's won a premiership and played for Australia.

Cameron Smith is head & shoulders above the rest due to his grey matter & his ability to think on his feet & make the right decisions.
Farah used to be in that category hence his great success at the top level.
Alas,Cook does not have that innate ability to organise & make the calls,as yet,anyway. I really can't see him attaining these necessary traits in the future so it will be wise for us to look out for a very good[& young] "Smith-like" hooker.

Anywhere that I have read online on any site or at games the only critical people there have been of Cook is a few on here. The other 95percent of the time everyone loves him.......

Give the guy a chance in 2018. He deserves the starting spot for tha start of next season and Farah should be sold off or be at Norths......

At least Cook is much better than Mcturtle who all he does is tackle and pedestrian.....
