Well, we were considering letting him go last June, weren't we? Probably remembers that.
At this point, it’s perfectly reasonable for fans to wonder which junior we’ll lose next.
Edwards? Cleary?
I feel betrayed.
The club said many times he is staying.
His manager said last week he would be here.
He told his team-mates (source Trent Merrin on BSB radio) several times the whole rumour of him leaving was BS and he is stating
And now he leaves.
One can only hope he is just testing his value.
The thing that worries me is there is a lot of stupid clubs out there that will throw overs at him.
Is Griffin the guy to generate that winning culture?
Why would anyone expect anything less? We have an insanely large nursery. It's fanciful to think that these players will both play to their potential (which I'm sure we all want) AND we'll be able to hold on to all of them.
I hope it's not the two you mention though.
Statistically yes.
We had a shocking year off the field (which showed on it) in 2017 and still finished 6th......
Exactly only an idiot wouldn't see what other offers are around before signing a new deal
Of course we can’t hold on to them all, but we have now lost some pretty good ones in Gus’ period.
Lewis
Jennings
Graham
Moylan
Austin
Coote
We should really be getting some salary cap concessions for producing players for other teams.
Moylan?
Didn't he extend with us last year without going to market?
One of the rumours about him being pissed off with the club, was he went to origin camp this year and found out he was getting underpaid. In his mind.
We beat Manly in the finals without him.So Moylan, despite his obvious talent, isn't a great loss. But getting Maloney is a sure fire winner with a mountain of experience that with shirley rub off onto the rest of the side.
Much greater times ahead.
No Edwards he is 12 games in to a promising career. He should shop around then talk to us then decide
Moylan?

Reading a few neutral blogs/comments today and the overwhelming consensus is that we are getting the better deal here. Not much love out there for Moylan (other than Shark fans)
Would be the 3rd rated halves combination next year behind
Thurston/Morgan
Cronk/Keary (Pearce?)
then
Cleary/Maloney
Thing is, the coach is a prime influence on off the field stuff, is he not?
Take Moylan's FB achievements out. He is a rookie half swapped for a test player on paper looks like a steal. Defence, Penalties and Age aside of course
Yes but the only thing that matters is wins vs losses.
