What I learnt from yesterday.
Stick rigidly to the pattern of racing on the day beforehand...watch well priced horses dropping hugely weight wise in the cup more closely regardless of experience...Williams ones especially...and always back local jocks no matter what the reason.

The horse that won the second race at ascot yesterday was number 2 called 'kentoo' caller was banging on about race 2 number 2 kentoo and i thought nothing of it.

Rekindling was number 22

Easy to back winners if you're paying attention to the signs

I've underrated this horse a bit, I reckon if it drew a gate yesterday it would have finished top 8 or so.

Was one of the runs of the race. Awful gate but unlike Dettori and his butcher job, Mertens rode the horse well. Thought it hit the line well too so it can definitely stay the 3200m which was the query.

Doubt you'll see Humidor back again, just leave him at 2000m, he's not a 2 mile horse. Would have bolted the Emirates Stakes in...

Very open field this year.. important stat is that there has been 97 overseas horses try and win the MC without a lead up run in Aus and they have all failed.

In saying that many have been close including Heartbreak City last year.

I think this year might be the year the hoodoo gets broken, I actually don’t mind some of the longer shot internationals.
You were correct. History was made yesterday with Remerkinling. I think its run prior to the Cup was at Curragh. Wish the prick would've stayed there.

I kicked it out of contention because it hadn't won a race over 2400m + for over six months.

By the way, where's my f**king Junior Cheeseburger?

Except for its last 2 starts where it got beaten.

When did theu change the percentage of wins it required to be 'unbeaten' from 100% to 60%?

Manicato was a complete forget run. The race was ugly and won't be the first horse that just doesn't handle it under lights. Happy to completely forgive that run.

Everest was a good run and wasn't far off despite the barrier. Redzel is a deserved favourite but I'm getting $5 for Vega Magic compared to $3 for Redzel. Rather take VM
