So is Martin good? I've never seen him play.

Always been one of Manly's best throughout this year. He is a real leader up front. If i could compare him to any lock in the NRL it would be Jack De Belin for sure. Will definitely fill Clarks 2014 role and do it well, if he's called up to first grade.

Id of bulked him up 15kg and played him at prop...he is too lean in my opinion
The problem with Turner in the second row is he goes missing too much...

He will make you 30 tackles but he won't take anywhere near enough hit ups.....

In his ordinary games he was making 4-5 hit ups for 35-40m and that wasn't cutting it.....

If he wants a second row starting spot permanently he'd better pick his socks up ASAP....

If he bulks up a bit though he could play in the middle regularly...... he'd have no choice but to make hit ups in the front row....

Possibly Charlie Galo. Who else could be this player???

Jack Stockwell is apparently signing with the titans.

They probably offered him better money. Titans would have a lot of free cap space. I'd say they have the most out of any club. We haven't seen them spend anything yet.

I've never heard of Charlie Galo is he a good player?

Edit just looked him up. He's another storm player and he's a monster of a human being.

Agreed. I think Turner is awesome when he plays to his true potential. He was great in 2014. However, as we have talked about many times, I feel as though his neck injury is seriously holding him back and he is not fully confident in it.

I hope his mindset changes.

We could use another monster, he must be a front-rower.

Totally agree about him going missing in attack at second row, but he was really good when used as a front rower this season.

He makes an insane amount of post contact metres.

Having him as a prop who comes off the bench is good as he's pretty quick on his feet and he holds his own.

I think he will grab the 17 jersey for the start of next season......

Plus if a back gets injured and Fui has to go to centre then Turner can slot into the back row....

Charnze Nicole Klokstad has had his car stolen and as he was moving he had his debut jersey in the car too:

To be fair on Turner we don't really know what role Madge wanted him to play. Maybe he was there more for the defensive side of the game.
I remember an article about Dave Tyrell where his dad was telling him to run the ball more and Dave was only doing what Madge had instructed.
I think Turner look more effective in the front row.
Maybe that's where his future lies.

Yeah sorry, but that's some straight up bullshit from Dave Tyrrell's Dad to excuse his son's shitty performances. No coach is telling their prop not to take hit ups.

Tyrrell had no issues with springing to life to take hit ups once we got into the opposition half. He was just never going to be any good as a front rower.

Only moved to the forwards after he got compartment syndrome and lost all of his pace. Never had the power to get over the advantage line when hitting the ball up.

For a while he could defend okay, but after injuring his knees that went too and he started letting in more post contact metres than any forward in the comp.

I've met him a couple of times and he seems like a genuinely good dude, but his sub par performances were on him, not the coach.

Have you read anything suggesting that it's Galo, or are you just hoping it is?

I only ask because I rate Galo really highly and would be super excited to have him on board.

There are some good signings out there for sure.

I'm just not sure if some of our ones are the right choices thus far for 2018.

Nicholls
Britt
Kennar
Martin
Arthars

They are all big unknowns as to how they would go playing first grade week in and week out.

For the price we're paying they're close to, if not the best options available though.

We don't have cap space to buy a shitload of guys already playing first grade.

Our improvement in 2018 will have to come through the inclusion of G.I and Gagai and the improvement of George Burgess and Adam Reynolds.

Yeah I see what you mean....

We need to be able to find that cheap good forward though. That's something the Roosters always seem to do better than us.........

If Clark goes I would like another forward for depth and maybe this Galo guy or someone similar could be just what we need....

I'm hoping with Nicholls that he can last for a 25-30min stint and keep up with the pace. We don't just want 20 odd tackles and 3 or 4 hit ups. We need him to get into that tough stuff of 8 hit ups for 70-75m..........
