I don’t think Sauce will move far if he does going chasing money, his family and his Missus family are all living in the area.

It was his motivation for taking less money last time. I can’t see that changing much now that they have started a family.

Who knows though.
The injury last year might have taught him something....take the f**king cash while you can

Agree 100% but for a player like Sauce with almost zero natural talent that relies on physical ability and heart? He has a small career window imo

It’s not like he’s being paid peanuts, I reckon if the Panthers make him a fair offer, he’ll take it. Having family around when have a young family and travel a lot for work is priceless.

Only my opinion though. He might say F it, I’ll get a nanny!

Here comes another negative post from me again.....Youve been warned. Grifffin is a shit coach and players dont like or respect him. You can be arrogant if you are brilliant...Hook isn't and this is now costing us players

Arrogant? From what I’ve heard he’s far from arrogant. He just runs a tight discipline ship. I don’t believe the story that Peter Tunks is trying to start, he’s taken a comment that Sauce made about being upset that the Panthers have signed a pest and he refused to have a locker next to him and twisted it.

Sauce speaks very highly for Hook and the staff at the Panthers. He may well be shopping around for a better contract, but I highly doubt it’s anything nasty.

He's so arrogant that he made the trip to Canberra for Josh's big game back and they were seen embracing in the corridor.... but yeah go ahead and feed another media driven circus with your paranioa, fkn toxic merkins.

That’s what I mean, he really doesn’t come across as arrogant. I really don’t know, but I think he’s getting a bad rap in that department. He might’ve clashed with Moyza, but if the reports are true, Moyza was clashing with a number of people, including team mates.

I'll believe mates who have played under him but carry on

Ohhh... so you have a preconceived perspective. That’s hardly fair is it now. Perhaps your mates also didn’t appreciate Hooks level of discipline and interpreted it as arrogance? I don’t know. I do know that anyone I’ve met who has had dealings with him at the club has found him to be very approachable, professional and polite.

The same cannot be said for one Ivan Cleary, whom I’m told was a night mare around the club, particularly on the piss.

Hang on; we shouldn't believe everything we hear about Griffin, but you are free to believe everything you hear about Cleary. How does that work?

(For the record, I don't claim to know anything about either of them; player retention and performances will ultimately tell the tale)

Is there a source for this? Pun totally intended. Would be nice to read about it.

If Cleary was anything like that, he wouldnt have had so many players happy to link up with him at a new club.

Believe what you like, I’m not trying change the way you think, I’m just saying that from I’ve seen and guys I’ve spoken to who work down at the club, he doesn’t seem arrogant.

To me, it doesn’t add up.

From what I saw and heard about Cleary, he did.

A few years ago we couldnt attract any players in the current and/or recent representative set up.

Whilst some dont rate the names involved we just so happen to have the following:

Merrin - Previous Origin and Australian rep.
Tamou - PreviousOrigin and Australian rep.
Mansour - Current Origin and Australian rep.
Wallace - Previous Origin rep * Unlucky to lose a nut.
RCG - Australian Rep.
DWZ - NZ Rep
Whare - NZ Rep
McKendry - Previous NZ rep.
Katoa - Tonga Rep

Im sure there are others.

Soon to add the current Australian 5/8 Maloney. We have Clearly looking to be the next representative half. I wouldn't be surprised if Yeo and Peachey find their way into the System soon. Cartwright was in the blues squad.

"Tamou is shit" - Only rated in the top five props.(this was from FoxSports for 2017)

"Wallace is past is" - First choice blues hooker prior to injury.Give him a solid run and he'll be great for our rotation

"Mckendry is a plod" - 8 Games for NZ. Notably the World Cup team.

"Why sign Whare when we have talent to sign/play,,,BLAH BLAH injuries" - Current NZ rep.

We have a squad that can rediscover some form, get a good run of games and deliver.. Plenty of talent across the park. We will cause havoc.

Give us a full squad, no drama and build on our last three years and we are a massive chance.

I agree with you, but this post will not sit well with some on this forum. (Which is cool, because that’s kinda the point of a forum)

I understand.

I was a massive critic of moylan. I'll eat humble pie if he does well.

Its the off season. Have to have something to talk about.
