Who predicted that?

We have roughly 100 backs .... is BA really going to suddenly give a rookie a run?

Probably Slothfield.... Being a former Shark, Buzz probably thinks the kid is the next Jono Thurston... Will probably end up the next Jono Wright...

Jaemon has been on a different program due to a neck injury he sustained last year. Only had one time trial run with the rest of the squad in the last week of training. Admittedly he smashed it and can play but if he plays NRL this year there will be a lot of players sitting in the grand stand. Definitely a goodun though

Only one player has been brought to the club and debut under BA and that was Faraimo who was a fail.

Also no junior or development player has come through solely under Arthur and debut for Parramatta.

*Moeroa came to the club under Stuart and Kearney.

*French was brought here under Stuart also.

*Alvaro played lower grades under Stuart - was purchased from the broncs

Actually, more Eels juniors have made their debuts @ other clubs then @ Parramatta under ba - Twal, Fuuimaino, Matterson are all now established first graders with very good futures.

I wouldn't swap Arthur for any other coach, but I'm not sure what it is when it comes to giving young guys a crack.

How long will players like Stone, Mahoney, Aukafolau, Tonise, Kaufusi ect be willing to hang around Wentworthvile before they feel they may never get a shot here.

Twal would have been massive for us in 2018/9 - now we are stuck with Evans who will prove to be a disaster buy for mine, and he is our longest contracted player !

Not sure what you are lol'ing about ... he is a regular starter for the team that finished 2nd at the end of the regular season in 2017

Exactly spot on about Matterson. He also has a great upside and is only in the early stages of development.

As long as we're winning games who cares where our players come from? And good luck finding quality players who've never played first grade. Arthur has still managed to poach blokes like Gutherson and Brown who have gone up a gear at the Eels.

And if he's given a chance to players who were already at the club when he got here - French, Moeroa, Ma'u, Alvaro, plus Radradra, Kritchard and Edwards had played f**k all games before 2014 - then he doesn't have a problem giving a shot to youngsters. It just seems Arthur prefers experienced first graders to unproven players, and he prefers them to kids who've never played in the NRL. And with so many clubs desperate to sign youth these days it's hard to find value when recruiting youngsters.

You have to admit it's working. We won plenty of games last year and were the third best team in the finals. We just need to find more salary cap to catch up to the News Ltd clubs.
