Interesting usage of past and present tense - not to mention the omission of many things - in order to make a 'point'.

Besides the 'single' pass thrown by McInnes last week, there are a few other examples why (in my humble opinion) he's not an upgrade on Rein.

Yes, Rein was on the field while the Titans were getting flogged, and while he didn't do anything noteworthy, he stayed at dummy half DESPITE Peats' (allegedly a main contender for NSW) presence.

Apparently this hasn't been the first time coach Brennan has elected to do this

Also, I think I read...somewhere...that a radio commentator complimented Rein for producing a few lovely long passes from dummy half. Yes, it's insignificant but at least something was noticed about Rein's ability.

If only he had a decent halfback- not to mention a competent coach - during his time at SGI.

If he’s smart (his last contract negotiations with STGI suggest he is definitely not), he will ask his manager to find him a team to play for in England Super League, where he might have a reasonable chance at a starting spot in a mid table team.

There is so much wrong with this, but I'll just reiterate that Rein that was on the field at dummy half at the same time as Peats (who, apparently, is a leading contender for the NSW hooker role).

He won't be looking at Super League, instead he needs a good mentor, which he's getting at the Gold Coast (not withstanding his tenure at SGI and Penrith).
