Apparently Gallen said on sports Sunday this morning that he thought Browny went too far.

He (Brown) walked into a storm, a really bad one, and he had to rebuild this club ... and that was on the back of what Wayne Bennett did before that. But to throw that last line in, I didn't think he needed to.

I think Brown is suggesting that Bennett was too occupied elsewhere.

Exactly, making cracks about his personal life.

Justification for this seems to be that if we dislike someone enough, their private lives are no longer off limits. Specious.

Is Bennett the first bloke to have his personal life affect the professional? It happens in life. Likely the deterioration in Bennetts recent results has been partially caused by turmoil behind the scenes.

But all Nathan Brown has done is open himself up to criticism. He'd want to have his own affairs in order.

I don't think a premiership is worth 5 years in the abyss.

I don't think he can do to us what he did to Newcastle and St George, once he calls it a day here I think he will retire and that's pretty obvious and the players that he has brought into the squad still have plenty to offer, I think some of them are out of position and Ben Hunt loss is hurting us but not much Wayne could've done about that, 6 year deal 1.2 a season.. we couldn't match that

On ther other side of that, I am now reading how Bennett only won a premiership at Saints because of the squad Brown had built up.

It's pinhead delusion at twenty paces.

The difference is only 5 of the Knights 17 last night were at the club when Bennett was (and only Sione Mata'utia played for Bennett), whereas of the Dragons 17 in the grand final 6 were signed by Bennett (1 of which was Gasnier, so doesn't really count).

Brown's team at the Knights is completely different. Bennett added a few pieces to the Dragons.

Plus some of the thrashings (44-22, 53-0), he's had to deal first hand, against the very team the same bloke who left the club in such a bad state f**ked off from to head back to a cushy 1 city 1 team gig with all the resources and TPA's and favourable refs calls to benefit from, while the media questions your ability as a coach and continues to give the other bloke a free pass because of stuff he did years ago...
