I'm actually very happy with the outcome of Sam and George's charges, very happy indeed.

It's great to see that George will be free to play and for Sam to only miss two weeks (he mustn't fight the charge) is a lot better than I thought it was going to be.

We need him for the blockbuster against St George. We can't beat them without him I don't think!

No way! He can't fight it. Our next two games, while tough, are still winable games even without Sam and he'll be fired up for that Dragons game which will be fantastic for us.

Don't know why we would start a petition to get Souths to resign Clark. If his form continues as it currently is, he will be resigned.

It is and always has been up to him as to whether he gets another contract. On current form he doesn't really need our help.

he would have been told that on last years form playing as a front rower and i agreed with the club thinking we could do better elsewhere but this year hes playing much better as a back row back up and the club will see that and should offer him something.

I’m sure roster descisions wont be made off the back of a petition. You’d hope the descision makers aren’t that reactionary. But it’s good the fan base gets to voice their opinion and their support for a local lad. In actual numbers, not vague online statements about most fans wanted him gone.

I’m sure if they end up with 5-10k sigs that Clarkey’s confidence would be pumped.

If people don’t like it they could always start a I hate Clarkey and want him gone petition

Is Clark even in our best 17? When Sam comes back where does that leave Clark?

Assuming everyone’s fit. Our best forward rotation is

8. Surgess
9. Cook
10. Turgess
11. Sutton
12. Crichton
13. Murray

14. Doueihi
15. Gurgess
16. Tatola
17. Nicholls

It’s a very tough decision for Richo but I don’t think Clark will agree to being resigned on reserve grade money. A really solid backup player to have but will he be content with this? We also have turner waiting for his chance to crack the top grade again. Then there’s players like Johnstone and Rodwell who will definitely be pushing.

Wouldn't be the first time a club has performed a back flip.

If he continues to play the way he's been playing in the back row, I'm sure plans will change and Jason will be welcomed back with open arms.

What I am saying is that his form and asking price more than any petition will dictate whether he stays or goes. At the moment, he's punching well above his weight and making himself irresistible at the right price. If he keeps going, he could well even land himself a big upgrade.
