Eels are watching the Bulldogs salary cap dramas closely with an eye on signing David Klemmer.

That will be an upgrade on Alvaro/Mannah but who wouldn’t. Still won’t help them that much when they have such an inconsistent backline behind.

Adam Blair was a twat at Melbourne but then moved to be a bigger higher paid twat. Yeah that’s not the next example is it.

Mitchell Sargent could hit a good line...wait that’s no good either

Ummm sika manu and Ryan hinchliffe did pretty well in the esl

oooof best of luck with that.
I mean guys can improve and they are building a pretty good squad but i dont think he's actually any good

He’s defiently not going to fix our problem that’s for sure - but he seems to be a replacement for Lillyman/Heighington as he’s in a similar mold. I’m willing to give Brown and Mooney the benefit of the doubt because they haven’t got one wrong yet and they’re still chasing after every prop available...problem is no props will come near us, and the very few gun forwards we’ve had in our system over the past few years (TPJ, Tapine, etc.) ended up at the Raiders. Things looked positive with the Saifitis but they’ve hit their second year syndrome badly. I’m not going to give up on them because props don’t even begin to hit their peak until 24-25 but I’m not convinced they’ll come good again either. All the skills but they don’t have an aggressive bone in their bodies which makes you useless as a front rower.

My biggest fear is that in pure desperation to get some big bodies we’ll make a massive play for Boyd who struggles to keep up now and the interchanges are dropping.

Rumour that Kev Naquima is leaving immediately to go to the Super League and Curtis Rona is incoming to Tigers.

I like Rona and we need some size in the backs but I think Kev is a better squad player. Our back line depth is short enough as it is.

You seen a team he’s been linked to? All I have seen is that he’s asked for a release.

Naiquama has been solid without being great for years, I can see why Cleary wouldn’t be rushing for his signature. Rona may be an X factor on the wing

We need at least one ( preferably two) of TPJ, Ah Mau, Klemmer, Taupau, Boyd, Napa and JWH.

Things seem to be developing by the day - a few of them are probably going to be available when they don’t currently appear to be, and we are well placed to offer. Fingers crossed.

It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that he's not going to be at Manly past this current contract, I laughed pretty hard when I heard it was the Roosters chasing his signature though.. i'm not privy to their salary cap dealings but let's be serious for a minute
