Where are we playing him?

His best position is centre. But his 'versatility' counts against him ever developing into a great centre.

I cant be upset at keeping him. But unless he's a permanent centre I think its a bad move by us both.

Peachey wants to stay with the Panthers.

Overall I’m pretty happy if we can pull this off, he’s a real spark for the team. We need experience too.

His last month or so have been outstanding.

Hopefully it wont cost us too much in the way of a player swap (I assume)

After Carty, Latu and Rein... they might be happy to cop this one.

We released 3 players early to them. Doing what was in the best interest of Titans and the players. Actually it was 4 since Peachey was contracted to us next year anyway.

They should be happy to cop it and possibly avoid another expensive guy failing to deliver.

Carty - sold a dud
Latu - gone missing
Rein - fringe first grader (though playing ok)

Peachy - current Origin Player

Not too sure they will be happy to "cop this one"

Regardless - it looks like we have no cap room left. Comments from Panthers management. Hope this does not distract him on Friday. Timing not too good on this one.

I love Peach and would be happy to see him stay, but as I understand the issue was salary cap. Something material needs to have changed for that to no longer be an issue.

Is Peachey now willing to stay for less? Are we willing to allocate more cap space for the guy? I'm very happy if it's the former, cautious if it's the latter. Like others, I'd worry about allocating too much money to a 14.

Obviously Tyrone Peachy staying with the Panthers will result in one or more players heading to the Titans. Looking at our list, the most likely candidates would be the likes of Corey Waddell & Liam Martin. Garth Brennan has had a lot to do with the development of both players through the ranks, both have the ability to be top quality NRL players and given our depth in there positions it makes sense for all parties.

Maybe CHN going to the Dogs has helped in that regard?

Tyrone Peachy would not have gone public is it wasn't a done deal. He will be staying with the Panthers it's just a question of who goes in the other direction. Personally, I think the Titans will do well out of this situation if they can negotiate two or maybe even three of our young guns who are future NRL stars. Obviously, Cartwright & Latu have unperformed which has been disappointing but the likes of Waddell & Martin are just champing at the bit for an opportunity in the NRL and they have what it takes with no baggage. Garth Brennan will know this only too well, he will get two ( or perhaps three ) for the price of one. Win/Win for the Titans. Win for the Panthers retaining Peachy, fan favourite and quality player no matter where we play him.

The article clearly states that he won't be, it would be with another club.
