I for one am getting sick of developing juniors and players for coastal teams who dont put money into their own competitions .

I figured that the Titans would respond this way. They need him
We release players to them early (including Peachey) and when someone has a change of heart they want to be merkins about it.

Good luck to them forcing a player to stay that doesn't want go be there. It sucks for them. But they only got him to begin with because we released him early to them anyway.

Aside from Moylan we havent released anyone wanting something in return.

its not a good look but technically wouldn't his contract have a start date? that date is yet to pass so he should be within his rights to terminate shouldn't he?

The NRL is a business and I don't see the Tyrone Peachy situation as a big deal.

He obviously want's to stay with us for any number of reasons, mainly personal I guess, and the Titans will do very well out of the situation.

At the end of the day whoever we trade to retain Tyrone Peachy will get an opportunity to play NRL which they may not get at our club on a regular basis. As just one example say Liam Martin. He is crying out for an opportunity and will deliver when he get's it. If he stay's with us he is still down the pecking order with the likes of Billy Burns, Shawn Blore and others capable of jumping him in the pecking order.

Tyrone Peachy is a great player, but I honestly believe if Garth Brennan plays his card's right and get's two or more for the price of one he is going to do really well out of the situation.

We need cap space for Peachey. So GC just works out to get players Brennan knows them anyway. Works for both parties really

Short term cooling off period which is 10 days or something.

Hope Peachey is happy playing as a utility forever.

Tyrone Peachy for the most part has been an integral part of our top 17 in his time at our club, whether in centres, five eighth, lock, back row, hooker or occasionally off the bench. He is a top quality player no matter where you play him and whomever our coach may be he just has to find a spot for him he is that good.

I’d happily let May go if it means keeping Peachey.

Very similar players but the one thing that May doesn't have is speed over the crucial first 20-40 metres.

It has been said before that Peachy is the quickest player in the club over these shorter distances and May while a natural footy player is not the quickest in terms of speed/acceleration.

That's the thing. There are no positions to put him in other than with injuries.

As MX said, good luck keeping a guy who doesn't want to be at your club.

Same with Ivan Cleary. If the tigers fight to keep him then their priorities aren't straight.

Says a lot about our club and plenty about the rest. People want to be here.

Slight problem value wise.
Peach's next contact is worth around $500k a year. Quite a bit of coin just to come off the bench. If he stayed here.
May would be on bugger all.

Sorry, I wasn’t talking from a contract value POV. I meant if the Titans wanted a player in return for letting Peachey go.
