I don't believe he was too keen to go up to Qld in the first place. There was rumours of him wanting to come back to a Sydney club a month ago.
Carty could come home or more likely he could link up with his Uncle at Manly.

Gus was instrumental in reviving the footballing fortunes of Leilani Latu when he first came to the club, no reason to think he couldn't do it again if Leilani's heart is in it. Latu could be anything if he put his mind to it but to date other than a decent spell when he first got promoted to our NRL squad he appears not to be able to sustain the hard work that is required to success at NRL level.

Latu's fitness was his issue but he was creative. Even 20mins off the bench would be good

Wasn’t he considered in the emerging blues squad?

He was great for us in 2014. No reason he can’t be a solid signing.

That was the talk in the off season. I’d be more than happy to see him train the off season at lock.

While lock seems to be a 3rd front rower currently, absolutely no reason why we can’t buck the trend. Our wingers play like an extra front rower coming out from our line anyway, I think it could work.

I was thinking of May as a wide running second rower but either way he needs to bulk up a bit more.

I would love to see latu back, Cartwright on a small contract would be fine.
Mitch rein is the other player the rumour could refer to.... not everybody’s favourite but he was decent.
