JFH was great at the start of the year but tailed off. He's a run of the mill forward IMO. I personally would sooner let him go then Tamou.

JFH good solid first grade player but there are others around the squad who could probably offer the same for less money.

Yep agree. Was really good the second half of this year.... people just seem to hammer him relentlessly for whatever reason.

Well he was pretty lacklustre in his first season with us. Plus the reputed pay level he’s on.

Still I was glad to see him play well in the second half of the year, he was even busting the line a few times.

He only cracked 100 metres once after Hook was sacked. His best run of form was the same as most of our team leading up to Origin. He just didnt suck as bad as the likes of Merrin and RCG at the back end of the season.

Our pack peaked in beating the Dragons. After that no player strung together many good games. It was patches here and there.

RCG can blame his injury and weight loss/gain. It's not good enough regardless. But it's atleast a possible reason for his form. But I cant see a reason for Mez to be that bad. His form is inexcusable.

I think most people gave him credit for improving this year. Even I changed from wanting him gone to seeing value.

His minutes per game were down quite a bit though.

Last year he played 46 mins per game, this year 40.

He’s still nowhere near the prop he was 5 years ago at the cowboys.

Tamou played 40 mins per game and average 93m

RCG played 51 mins per game and only averaged 4m more than Tamou

Even Merrin averaged more meters than RCG on less mins. 101m in 46 mins.

That was my sense too. But none of our props really covered themselves in glory.
