Pales into insignificance?? Are you for real? You have clearly lived a sheltered life. Do you honestly think he would have received a custodial sentence for that in Australia? Not a chance in hell.

It doesn’t really matter, Lodge made a dickhead of himself and has been paying for it ever since.

Personally, I think there are a lot worse people in the league and I’d give him a break.

But as I said, I’m well aware that I’d be amongst the minority, that’s cool with me.

Not sure how signing cleary is going to take us anywhere .He has been here before .And turned our attack into one pass run kick on the last. We can not win the lot using that style with the current squad we have. Gould is turning into a reactive leader .How to we keep Nathen hey lets sign his dad

I am in the same boat. Ivan had his go here it didn't work out and I don't believe with Gould still around him and Ivan can make it work. If I am wrong I stand corrected. When Ivan comes I will be fair and give him another go. I have plenty of doubts though.
Someone said awhile ago Penrith would move heaven and earth to keep Nathan should the possibility of him leaving occur. I believe the club has done that. A very expensive gamble.
Time will tell if its a master stroke or a blunder.

If you've ever listened to any of Gould's podcasts, it seems like only a matter of time before he comes to Penrith. Bennett leaving the Broncos is probably a catalyst for it. Some may not like it, but it wont stop Gould from signing him.

Not so sure, towards the end at the warriors they were seen as a genuine competition threat.

He did make the finals with them for 2007, 2008, 2010 & 2011. They were building to something.

They finished 5th and 6th in 2010 and 2011 though. The GF run in 2011 was good but it isn't like they dominated at any stage like would be expected with us

I had thought that the 2021 contract would have coincided with Gus stepping down. It could be viewed as a sacrifice to get Ivan to Penrith (after previously sacking him) so they would not have to work together.

But in light of todays stories in the papers that is very unlikely now.

Was all just a theory I was harboring.

Mate of mine who is a huge Warriors fan was never a fan of Cleary and thought that his sole attacking plan was to bomb it to Manu. He reckons the Warriors around that time were talented enough to go far no matter who the coach was.

This is a huge step sideways in my opinion. Cleary will achieve about as much or as little (depending on your perspective) as Griffin did.
