Rumoured previously (on here) that Dragons were supposedly talking to Corey Waddell. I now notice Panthers have announced that he will not be returning in 2019.

Fullback seems the only option but i still think they'll play Ponga there now they signed Lino, they have recruited well for wings and centres.

Utility role at best I think. However is Annie from Newcastle way originally that may be where the rumor comes from.

I have read/heard that Newcastle intend to play Ponga 5/8 next year.

I am not so sure. There was a reason Bellamy let him go after playing and trying him at centre and wing. he wont be a fullback or a 5/8th in todays game as does not have the vision needed. Canberra I reckon were crazy to let Austin go. I guess Mann as much as he has heart, he is just a square peg in a round hole position.

Hethrington is the forward we should get from Penrith. Waddell may have been player of the year in 2015 but i love the mongrel that Hethrington plays with, he also has size.
