Not in Brisbane. Lewis never won one for example.
Plenty better too. Average half back. Played in some good teams. Rothmans Medal has always been a semi useful guide. The fairness aspect was a big factor at the time he won it. Also refs always noticed halves (they spent their time regulating the scrum feed a great deal more) and gave it to them half the time. Excuse the pun.
We aren't talking about Brisbane. Not in Brisbane. Lewis never won one for example.
I can remember in 88' at Shark Park Russell absolutely schooled Lewis and Broncos with Gav Miller. Not in Brisbane. Lewis never won one for example.
We are talking about the same award. We aren't talking about Brisbane.
Yeah he was better than Langer. The guy who dominated the comp some years of the early 1990s.Yeah nah. Would have walked into the Qld team at the time and had some of the great halves ahead of him for NSW.
And typicalfan says he had a lot of injuries. He was tiny but he could play.
Miller was a great player but we aren’t talking about him are we. And yeah on balance Lewis just shades Barry as a player.I can remember in 88' at Shark Park Russell absolutely schooled Lewis and Broncos with Gav Miller.
The most honestSo by some accounts Barry was the finest half back ever.
You sticking with that?

There was one for each competition. I can't speak for the BRL as I am not as familiar sorry, but in NSW it was a highly respected award that was considered very accurate. We are talking about the same award.
Glad to see you’ve come around.Amazing, it is almost as if there were a lot of quality halves during that time.
