I know what to do - sack everybody and buy the SOO teams.
Total fantasy, but so is buying 2 props, a 9, a fullback and 2 outside backs that are better than what we have for next season.
They are the areas we need to strengthen if we want to compete with the top sides.
We may have a couple of fast backs in the lower grades and maybe a one good young prop in the lower grade.
But we will probably be happy to bring back Peachy who offers little.

Now that they're recording and people are taking notice of play the ball speeds the gig is up for RCG. He needs to work his way to England or the GC asap or make peace with playing out his contract in NSW cup.

Where do you find stats for Play the ball Speeds per player? Fox Sports Lab certainly doesn't have them.

BTW you really seem to have a vendetta against RCG! I agree he is overrated and was one of Guses 'Panic' contract upgrades based on 1/2 a season of red hot form (back end of 2017) but I don't think he deserves the hate he is getting in some quarters. Agreed though that his Play the Balls are slow (so are Tamou's) they need to ensure they get put on their backs less.

Also for RCG to be worth the money he is reportedly on he needs to get his 89 metres per game somewhere to around 130 metres per game and 11m per carry.

I don't know where to find them but I've seen 3 or so people quoting them. My vendetta against RCG is equal to my desire to see Penrith succeed.

Not sure on the PTB stats but JFH is about the only forward doing it properly inside the red zone. He shows great urgency and give our hooker and halves a chance to catch out the defence.

He had a very bad game. These are his stats on NRL.com

Wow, look at Egan’s.

I know he’s your guy, but that’s really slow. Probably doesn’t get tackled a lot, but this is what I was talking about when I said he’s low energy. He just sort of wanders around out there.

Yeah him and Kenny are our slowest. I also edited with run metre stats as well.

But he’s the slowest by a long way.

I suspect this is in part because hookers don’t get tackled as often, and when they do it’s sometimes close to the line & the defence is trying to slow them down. But it still needs improving.

Yeah it's an entire second slower.

Egan's PTB stat looks like an outlier. How many times did he get tackled?

Weird it's saying zero hit ups but one play the ball for Egan.

Did he fall on a grubber? It'd be a surrender tackle and would explain the slow PTB.

Either way, I don't think there's too much to read into it for hookers when they're running a handful of times at best.

If Leota could use his footwork a bit more, I feel he has the frame & ability to fall on his front more often then not & get the quick play the balls we need. I know he's another that is mostly potential atm, but I think there's a really decent front rower in there. Thought he was great on Saturday.

Maloney said post game Kikau usually gets good ones. Seems to a few that get straight up
