Corey Thompson has 5 tries this year. We have only Kikau that has scored more. He has more linebreaks then anyone in our squad... Brings what we lacks so for a depth player is decent enough

I fear he won’t be a depth player.

As for linebreaks, To’o has 3 in 5 games, that’s a higher rate than Corey Thompson.

Point is we’re not addressing a problem by signing him. We need a ball playing fullback, not another effort fullback.

What if they think Laurie is long term though? You don't sign a 29 year old looking forward but to improve the squad for a season or 2 it is fine

End of this year. Exactly and Laurie can play after June 30 if ready. Much better way to fill out a squad then prior years of just bringing up some junior

I thought MWZ was off contract at the end of this year too, but zero tackle has him listed for one more year.

I’d rather address our genuine needs first. We need pace, height and ball playing in our backs, we’ve got plenty of guys who try hard.

He's an inferior player in a team that has been better than ours.

He wont have the same opportunities on our wing as he has had at the Tigers. He will not score tries on our wing. Or set any up. Or help us get up field like our back 3 do atm

He's a downgrade on what we have. Upgrade on MWZ. Sure. But not top 17 quality.

but who is available? I don't see too much quality that fits those categories. We have a few in lower grades so we either repeat the errors under Gus and promote them too soon. or bring in speed and a bit of FG in.

I've said It before. I think the next lot of guys who've had the academy are what they are waiting for. We have tall fast guys like Crighton who got the 3 tries on the weekend coming up and at least 2 fullbacks.

I've said It before. I think the next lot of guys who've had the academy are what they are waiting for. We have tall fast guys like Crighton who got the 3 tries on the weekend coming up and at least 2 fullbacks.

Have those guys in development contract. They can get eased into FG and hopefully fix the errors of the last few years of guys being solid without special

I don’t know who’s available, but I’d rather keep our powder keg dry.

Scour the QLD Cup, scour the UK. Think outside the box.

Instead we possibly sign one of Ivans mates.
