I don’t place any credence in the made up figures the press come up with. When the rumours about DWZ first surfaced it was suggested his deal was in the vicinity of 400K per season, by the end they were saying 700K a season, just ridiculous stuff. I think both would have been in the 400K region so hopefully we may have 800K most of which will be needed to upgrade the likes of TO’O, Blore, Leniu and a few others.

Yeah but if Maloney leaves, there has to be some cash for a signing.

I think Blake's form last year would get him more than $400k especially for 4 years. Seems like a steal.

Its pretty obvious what sort of culture Ivan is trying to build. He breaks his Tigers contract. Pushes out DWZ and Blake early into their new contracts to try and bring back Peachey who wanted out of his contract before it began.

We clearly want everyone thinking their contracts don't mean shit.

In Cleary Version 1, Luke Lewis and others were kicked out. To me, that's a pattern. I can't remember the others that he dumped in his first stint here, but I'm sure others will.

Point one the coach doesn't sign players. I doubt a coach knows how much a player is on. He would say I want x player and leave management to sort.

These things aren't always easy depends what we paid DWZ already and what was owed to Peachey for the next 5 months

If we can get someone outside that’d be great. But two rookies could be a disaster.

It’s not just bad for the team, it’s bad for the players. If they’re getting outplayed it could kill their confidence.

400K is big money for a non representative centre especially one who threatened to be something special but didn’t quite reach the levels we had hoped for. Be interesting to see if he goes to the next level with the Eels next season and beyond.

You're right. just make it known within the team this year is about development and take the pressure off them. Next year the expectations kick in with a clean slate.

There is 2 coaches worse then we have...He went to a team with one so I doubt he will go to that next level
