Fingers crossed for KR to go down ;)

What would be the best result for the short/Long term health of the sport?

And the cat is back among the pigeons. Huddersfield win at Hull KR. Hull win at Leeds and London best Saints again. There will be a bit of whinging though because Saints rested several players. Bottom three all on 16 with Wakey and Salford, who trounced Catalans, just above on 18.

Looking ahead, I'd say it's very likely that HKR v London in Round 28 will be this years 'Million Pound Game' in all but name.

Home game to HKR plus superior +- should see them scrape through.. but here's hoping London jag a couple more surprise wins.

Hull KR get far, far bigger crowds than London but London being in super league you would argue is more strategically important for both super league and the game as a whole. Plus London have a better academy setup than KR and produce more RL players not only for themselves but for other teams in all 3 leagues.

Salford are the worst. Poor crowds and pathetically no academy setup at all but they are safe for now anyways.

Sorry about that. I misread the league table. It must be the excitement of Dull KR losing and London winning.
Hull KR v London at the beginning of September could be huge but I get the feeling that it will all be settled before this match. Unfortunately for London.

The Roosters’ signing of Sharks half Kyle Flanagan for 2020 has had an immediate flow-on effect.

Talented former Knights halfback Brock Lamb has quit the Roosters effective immediately and is off to London Broncos in the Super League.

Lamb joined the Roosters this season hoping to be the club’s long term number seven following the retirement of Cooper Cronk.

But he hasn’t been able to get a look in at the club and played just one NRL game.T

he 22-year-old playmaker is expected to fly out to the UK this week.

London will announce his signing late Sunday night Sydney time.

Should be good for London. Young halves who are too good for reserve grade but struggling to crack NRL week to week usually fit in nicely in SL

Not this old cliche again. Plenty of washed up has beens have gone to England or France and still got a gig back in the NRL.

Anyone listen to the Full Eighty?

Mick Glendhill spoke of a rumour from a trusted source that teams academies will not be run by the clubs anymore, but by the England setup which will be divided into eight regions up until players are 18 years of age. So at the end of every year players will be ranked into first round or second round draft picks etc. So if London were last they would have the number one draft pick etc. It was said with the reserves coming back in the fold that this setup would tie up into that.

Not sure if this is remotely true but if that setup was going to work it would work in England.

I didnt watch it but the Hull Wigan game seemed to play out in an odd fashion.
Hull kicked 4 penalty goals and only scored 1 converted try.
Both teams took Penalty goals at odd times, including Hull when down 10-4

Union game?

Mick Gledhill is always proven correct. You can take his word to the bank.

London Broncos have signed Guy Armitage after the former London Irish and Wasps back crossed codes to join the Super League club.

The 27-year-old recently completed a four-week trial period with the Broncos and has agreed a contract until the end of the 2020 season.

"We are excited about having him on board," head coach Danny Ward said.

"His attitude to training and learning has been great and we have seen big improvements already on the field."

Meanwhile, prop Olsi Krasniqi has signed a new two-year deal with the west London side.

The 27-year-old re-joined Broncos in May on a short-term deal after spells with Salford Red Devils, Toronto Wolfpack and Bradford Bulls.

So London is beefing up to try and stay up? Who should go down?

- Huddersfield
- Salford

Lowest average attendances - other than London. But London needs to stay up.
