For those not on Facebook, this was the post...

I’m hearing the Parramatta Eels have held internal talks to sign former New South Wales Blues five-eighth Josh Reynolds. The Eels believe his energy & enthusiasm could really benefit the club.
_
The 30-year-old is currently contracted with the Wests Tigers for a further two seasons. His salary is believed to be around $800K per year. The Eels are only interested in paying around $300-$400K of that, with the Tigers left to pay the rest.
_
The Tigers have recently told Reynolds he is free to negotiate with rival clubs as veteran star Benji Marshall looks set to play on in 2020.
_
Personally, I don’t think the Eels are the right fit for Reynolds. Undoubtedly, the club will have the funds to secure Reynolds if they choose, but his signing will greatly affect the development of 19-year-old sensation Dylan Brown.
_
The Warriors have previously shown interest in signing Brown for big money. The signing of Josh Reynolds would benefit the club short-term however, the long-term effects could be costly.
f**k me I hope this is bullshit

With a backline with Gutho, Fergo, Waka, Sivo and Semi we could afford to carry Alvaro, Evans and Terepo as our backs would average 800m a game between them

If Semi returns, he won't be getting French rugby money from any club.
But, he deserves the highest pay day wage for any winger in the NRL.
People seem to discount the importance of wingers in todays game, and thus, they are always under valued. The very best of them are as important as top forwards.
Not only do they do the hard hit up work in early tackles, the best wingers are great try scorers.
Sure, they are not required to do the pigs work in defence, but they make up for that in scoring tries.
I hope that we can afford to throw some serious money at him. I'd hate to see him playing for any other club, if or when he returns.

With the likes of Ma’u, Mannah and Moreoa, Takarangi etc coming off contract at the end of this season, surely we should have enough coin to splurge on both Semi and a couple of forwards, while promoting some juniors.

We could f^*k up our cap on worse players, and I’m sure we’ve done that in the past.

Semi, come on down...

Many people last time made the simple mistake of saying you dont pay a winger big $$$$. Semi is unique. He may be listed as a winger but he is an out and out outstanding player with the ability to score from anywhere on the field. How many times did Semi bring us back from the brink or single handedly win games for us. He could play, wing, centre or fullback. He showed us as well that he could ball play and who remembers when he nailed that sideline conversion?
Puts bums on seats, a real excitement machine, a powehouse with pace to burn, a fearsome palm and tough. If it means moving on blokes like hoff, taka leleisiuao, ( french already gone ) then I'm all for it..Parra make it happen. Corporate support and sponsorship would also markedly increase

Geez you blokes. Does it have to be the Storms? If I ever had to jump off, I'd go to Newcastle.

Newcastle are just as miserable as us.
If we’re gonna jump ship it may as well be to a club with a proven track record of winning.
It’s either them or Roosters, I’m sorry to say.

You have to sort out your own membership though. They don’t have 3 for 1 offers and @hineyrulz and I have already sorted ours out.

Pou's succession thread has us with only 18 players signed for next year. Guth and Moses seem like our only 2 big spenders currently so we'll definitely have cap space for him

W Blake has the frame / skills for an edge forward and we are looking for one .....

Anyhow plenty of options to fitting everyone in the side

Honestly, Semi is that breaking good, he could play centre...

Yes, he would need to adjust there, and adjust his defence, but a backline of:

1. Gutherson
2. Sivo
3. Jennings
4. Radradra
5. Ferguson

Is very, very potent.

Only question is where do you play Waqa Blake?

Blake is potentially the best of the lot co sidering age. He gets firs choice of position.
