Will yea he is above Luai IMO

I honestly don’t get how people can think this.

He’s played all of one game, and in that one game he was very good for one half. There’s no doubt he’s a talent, but Luai has showed much more in his time. Luai even controlled a game from 7 and basically won it for us single handedly. But he’s also had some other nice touches, a beautiful pass to Liam Martin to set up a long distance try comes to mind.

Cant help but think this is the classic Panther fan recency bias. We always seem to love the shiny new star.

I just don't think he can cut it in the NRL

Doesn’t sound like a very fleshed out idea.

People I think are basing it on Luai this year, where he was shifted around a lot, personally I think that’s unfair.

We need to see a lot more of both of them, but I can’t see how a 19 year old with one game under his belt is in front on Luai *right now*. That honestly makes no sense to me.

if we go Luai we are going the old Panthers way, if we go Burton we go the Melbourne way. If Luai can learn not to bounce around and ruin a move then I'm all for it

Luai has the advantage of having played a lot of football with Cleary, plus he’s significantly more experienced. I think those two things count for a lot in a team as inexperienced as ours,

Burton will actually benefit from more time in reserve grade playing against older guys, there’s no reason to rush him into the team for round 1.

Here's the real question: Are we capable of playing the Melbourne way? I don't think we we are. Neither the players nor the smarts from the coach.

Its why I've been in favour of getting guys like Peachey back in the fold.
Peachy 2018 would be great

I’d rather not be a cheap imitation of another team. There’s no set way a team needs to play. As unrealistic as it is, I’d love to be the team that changes the thinking around how teams can attack.

Luai is effective, who gives a shit if he looks & makes us look unstructured. He creates chances, opportunity & most importantly space for other players.

Which is why I am all for the cuts. We are just a dumb team

Just throw guys like him and Luai out there. Get a ball busting forward pack and thats basically it for Penrith. You won't get much better football with our current setup.

Problem is middle of winter and dew is on the ground or it is raining then you need some type of structure. I haven't even seen Luai kick for the corners or anything even in the lower grades

Cody Walker sure didnt work well with Nathan Cleary in Origin. I think it would just confuse the players and their roles in the team.

Unless the idea is for him to play fullback. Although it would be big money for aplayer with flaws at fullback. Would add another dimension to our attack though.
