I can't believe they rissoled Mark Gasnier. He was one of the few non bias commentators and always gave Parra a massive wrap when we played well. Unlike others who always find a way to diminish our better performances.

He also spoke very well and is a pleasant human being that analyzes the game very well. Can't believe they chose him to cut over say Anasta or Kimmorley for example. Next to them he is a champion of a commentator.

Ram is correct. It’s just family dispute over a property development. Brother is accused of making unauthorised withdrawals from the joint venture bank account and forging signatures.

The background to Gasnier’s departure is unclear other than one report that he was boned. Then the same report said that he now works in a full time role with Oztag.

Today the Telecrap (who can’t be trusted with the truth) claims that it was the other way around and he quit.



What we do know is that Gasnier has had a long association with Oztag. The below video was shot in 2015. Perhaps he sees himself in NRL admin long term and this is a steppingstone to a club CEO role ? Perhaps he thinks that Fox may not have the broadcast rights in the future ?

I don't think he'd worry about them not having the rights. You could just have a clause that he's free to leave if they lose them. They wouldn't have much use for all these league commentators anyway if they've got no league to commentate.
