Harry is pretty good. I reckon he has enjoyed his time here as well. It might be good for his development. Maybe playing here has been better for him than staying at Melbourne.
Really? He has received exposure only IMO, which greatly increases the chances he leaves.

We won’t be coming out of this recession for awhile, ergo into the future, the dollar is going to buy us more and not less.

Retail is going on line and we have a transport company as a big sponsor.

A limit in squad numbers is going to make it harder for players to find gigs.

Overpaid players coming off contracts, the axe is about to be swung

Madge has had to fight with one arm thanks to our legacy buys.

I expected a bit better this year, but it’s been a mutant season and we haven’t adjusted. Many reasons.

And he prob wouldn't have played at all his year at the Storm.
Harry has repeatedly said he likes it here and he likes Madge's style, doesn't mean a guarantee, but it's better than him saying he can't wait to leave.

Yep. Despite all the doom and gloom Harry is a classic example of the opportunities that we can offer top players. We have to remember that we are a professional rugby league team. Playing for the Tigers is an honor. Our pay is as good as any other clubs pay.

I expected us to be better this year. There were a couple of reasons for this though. I thought our halves and forward pack would be good. Aloaia and Luciano have been great but not other forwards have really stepped up. Our halves have been terrible.

The coach has to take some of the blame for this but I don't see how changing the coach will help. I think we have to look to jag a couple of good signings each year. When our forwards are getting on top and we have the halves and outside backs to be a top team then we can assess if Maguire has the coaching nous to win us the comp.

We get Reynolds and Packer off our books next year and those are two big positives for us. I think we can do a lot better than Mbye for the dollars and I think he comes off contract the following year. I think the club appears to be making better decisions.

We have to look long term and it seems to me that we don’t have the roster to make the impression wed like to next year. Treading water as we transition to a new long playing group. That’s ok by me.

But that pretty much means we have rely on the coach and supports to train, plan and get the players ready.

We get a new assistant coach with new ideas, insights and hopefully impact on the elusive resilience that went mia this year. Madge said in a press conference this year we lacked the mindset. I think he’s right.

No one mind losing if we have a go for the full 80. We all get depressed when the white flag goes up at the 60th, when we are behind and there’s not much panic or edge when there needs to be. We often wait too long to fight back but run out of time. Or we just give up and go through the motions. Bore ourselves into a loss. And these big scores against us have been pathetic.

The change room rebellion was a bit of a joke when the players weren’t performing. If they were going well, by all means, vent and whinge but I honestly thought the performances didn’t warrant bringing into question the coach and some idiot going public with it. Nofo seems to be with the Madge program and what a year he’s had! Says a lot.

Madge’s contribution was recognised with an extension, he makes the errors, but I doubt any coach works harder or is committed to turning our fortunes around. And he’s not too proud to admit he’s human. Unlike some other coaches. He’s not a big excuse merchant. He got other offers, he’s an international coach, he wants to coach us.

I still think Harry will go and then come back. Rookie of the year in the entire nrl is a high honour, plus as people have said, he’s enjoyed himself. Living in Sydney is also a massive bonus.

Talk of us going after Rapana if melbourne don't budge on JAC ....certainly no comparison but maybe he'd at least get us some value out of JJ by rekindling their combination....or not

Trying to 'get the band back together', albeit in a new environment, five years past their peak would be a classic Wests Tigers manouvre.

This one made me laugh. That was Clearys masterstroke. To be fair we'd been a mess for a while. That was the big 4 leaving days.

All this mess probably can all be traced back to the Farah vs Potter affair. Has all been downhill since.

Was if Farah vs Potter ? I thought that was Benji. The Farah/Taylor feud was terrible. You are correct though in that the Big 4 coming after Robbie was just a disaster.

Benji left under Potter after he benched him...

After Farah told Tallis that Potter couldn’t coach, the team fell apart and Potter got the punt. Then when JT decided to offload Farah to reserve grade it was on again.

That's what burns me about 2014. Farah finding out the hard way that Tallis is a piece of shit always overshadows just how bad our injury toll was. It got to the point where we had second rowers Cory Paterson and Sitaleki Akauola as our starting wingers, that's how bad it was.

Robbie just caused problems at the club didn't he. He could play but he was a hog and I bet he was paid a fortune so he became a target. Then we had the Big 4 which in hindsight was a joke. We had the Turd, an overrated prop and two young halves that to me haven't come on.

The Turd was a problem as well. He has or had a massive ego and had no loyalty to the club. He was the only one worth fighting to keep and he was always looking to leave.

I suppose that the only way to stop these issues to me is to be really careful who you are paying top dollar contracts too. You have to have a good team to support a star or two and those stars need to be really freaken good.

Josh Addo-Carr Wests Tigers move: Jordan Rapana emerges as key figure for Melbourne Storm
Jordan Rapana has become caught up in a bizarre tug of war that could make or break the Wests Tigers’ bid to sign Melbourne Storm flyer Josh Addo-Carr.

Wests Tigers will turn their attention to signing Canberra winger Jordan Rapana should the Melbourne Storm refuse to release Josh Addo-Carr at season’s end.

Although Addo-Carr is their No.1 recruitment target, News Corp Australia can reveal the Tigers have already made inquiries about off-contract Raider Rapana, who rejoined Canberra this year after the COVID-19 pandemic cut short his move to Japanese rugby.

If the Tigers’ bid to sign Addo-Carr falls through, they will look to reunite Rapana with former Raiders teammate Joey Leilua in the Wests backline.

But, in a further twist, Rapana could inadvertently help the Tigers land Addo-Carr.

The Storm are also considering signing the 31-year-old as a replacement for Addo-Carr, that could sway them to granting the “Fox” a release to join the Tigers.

Having told club legend Benji Marshall he is not wanted beyond this year, the Tigers have embarked on an recruitment drive, signing Penrith captain James Tamou to a two-year deal from next season.

He will join impressive Parramatta rookie Stefano Utoikamanu, who inked a three-year $800,000 deal to switch clubs.

2021 shapes as a crucial year for the Tigers, and coach Michael Maguire says he will not stop challenging his players despite claims he’s too tough.

After missing the finals for the ninth straight season, Maguire made no excuses for expecting his team to be more like Melbourne and Canberra.

“I have a playing group that is hungry to do it,” Maguire said.

“I have high expectations of my players because I believe in them. We are all striving to get to the top and need to work hard to get there. I have great people with expertise in both my playing group and on my staff and we are not looking for excuses.”

The major detrimental repercussion of the turd & manager grubby Isaacs deception that he was remaining at concord was it cost us the Dundas shamrocks gun Papenhuyzen.A superstar Balmain junior & nice guy excelling in a key position we r massively weak in.We did the honourable thing in letting him leave based on the treacherous grub moses bullshitting us that the turd was re-signing.

Robbie didn’t cause any issues at the club, other than privately bad mouth a shit coach, until the club decided to STEAL MONEY FROM HIM!!! He then played it dirty like they did and it cost them Tedesco, Woods and Moses. Having pieces of shit like Rod Reddy on the staff and a weak wristed CEO didn’t help either.

Farah found out the hard way who to talk shit to but given that Potter never got another job coaching shows that he was right
