Dylan’s about my favourite panther.

No team can have a gun in every position.

You just want competent stock in non elite spaces.

He’s probably a bit better than stock tbh.

The thing is we have guns there, kids who just need the chance and they will come cheaper than Dyl. They might not be as good defensively but Laurie is already better with the ball in hand imo.

No one is saying drop Dylan or force him out but he’s not a priority by any means.

We now have a premiership window in the next 3/4 years and need to think seriously about how we can win a GF. As much as I like Dylan the fullback position is vital in attack and we need someone who threatens the defence more than Dylan. GF Clive Churchill Medal was won by Papenhauzien. I think Dylan only signed for next two years that probably says it all.

Our attack was 2nd in the comp. So not much wrong with it just get a right centre who can create

In 14 games Edwards had 5 tries. 7 Try Assists compare that too the last season and it is improving.

Assuming Mansour is gone then we need Edwards run metres even more. If he can ave 170+ metres again and get the try involvements to 20 or so over a season then we will be in a very strong position come end of the year

Edwards was 3rd in ave metres for a fullback. 3rd in Tackle breaks for a FB despite playing less games

He had more try involvements than RTS or CNK despite playing less games.

So when you add it all together he is a top 5 or 6 fullback. Right centre is of a more a concern

Only partially serious but would the club look at James Robert’s even if it’s a 1 or 2 year deal? On his day he’s a beast but obviously comes with baggage, he would fix the right edge problem but that means Burton wouldn’t get a look in the 17 unless through injury or Yeo goes to prop like fish did before him.
Just a thought probably wouldn’t happen with our salary cap but if sauce leaves you never know!

I’d be pleased, as long as it doesn’t cost us anyone, Burton in particular.

I’d be happy to give him a one year deal with a second year option. But only if Burton signs elsewhere.

James is a headline waiting to happen. He is talented, but the risk isn't worth the reward. The last thing we need is an off field drama to derail a season. Hopefully for his families sake he gets his shit together, but I doubt it. Sadly it wouldnt surprise me if he didn't see 40.

From what I can gather the recent problems are more of a personal nature rather than wild behavioural issues.

I’d never hold any mental health issues against anyone but given his history with alcohol any kind of ‘personal issues’ would worry me. I really don’t think we should risk bringing him in. Outside of his off field issues he’s played 6 games this years for Souths and prior to that he didn’t do much at Brisbane except get in trouble.

It is for these exact reasons why I suggested that football is the least of his concerns. James needs urgent care. He is a father, and a husband, football is secondary to family.

RTS ave more metres a game but had more possessions. That is the only stat RTS is in front of Edwards with

Regardless spine isn't the issue we won't improve if we constantly change what isn't broken

RTS stats would look a whole lot better in our team. There’s no question he’s better than Edwards.

Good teams are constantly looking to improve, if someone is better than Edwards then that’s just what happens. It’d be a different matter if Edwards was a genuine star, but he’s not good enough to command the position no matter what.

Who is better though? Staines can't even finish a game yet and Laurie as well as no Mansour would hurt getting off our line.

Right side attack is and has been an issue for a few seasons. Fix that we improve out of sight

Mansour shown the door, but I understand that.

Heartbreaking for him but Staines can’t really wait with other clubs circling.

No room at the inn, but it’s not without risk.

I thought he was one of your better clubmen. Loved his panthers.

I’d pick him up at the right price for 2 years. He gets the jitters from nowhere sometimes, but I really like his power.
