Panthers snatched Api off the Dog's last minute......

400k is a fair amount for a guy who has a handful of first grade games. But they'd know his talent. I am sure D.Brown got close too 600k.
The issue with young halves is most are over paid before they get to reach form. Almost pay up early in hope you can keep them when they are playingat elite level.

I hope Parra do not pick Mansour up. I heard they looking. We lack speed and Josh won't help.

I don't think Burton will leave. I also do not think the Dogs will pay silly overs for guys. They will build a side slowly. It's taken them 4yrs to get cap sorted and I doubt they'll blow that on huge risks.
They already paid Cotric 600k who is prob only worth 450k

RTS ave more metres a game but had more possessions. That is the only stat RTS is in front of Edwards with

Regardless spine isn't the issue we won't improve if we constantly change what isn't broken

You have to take stats with a grain of salt sometimes. RTS had a down year, he is clearly a top 3 fullback. I have him almost neck and neck with Teddy tbh, put RTS behind a good team and he one of the comps best players.

Yeah the dogs will need have some restraint re their cap. They've signed a 600k winger in Cotric and Flanno would've cost a bit. They still want another half and a fullback also and they need some more forwards.

Can't see Parra chasing Josh - they have Sivo.

Yeah but all you can go on is recent stats because Edwards is at only 50 games. So going any further back doesn't show his improvement

He’s really good player, very smart football brain. I’m pumped to see more of him next year.

So am I he has been a gun all through the juniors and the limited minutes we have seen from him in the NRL he has looked dangerous. The dogs are not a good team and we dominated them but he looked very comfortable out there fielding and returning kicks.

1 game against a poor side. Need to see more from him before you can move someone out of a working spine. The spine went well last season well before the finals choke

I wouldnt be moving Dylan yet but eventually they have to make a decision due to the salary cap. I would definitely be looking to see more of Laurie when the chance to play him came up. Laurie flat out has ball playing skills Dylan will never have.

The switching of Tyrone May and Edwards for set plays clearly shows they want a fullback who can play like a five eighth and after about the second time we did that last season it became pretty obvious what was coming every time Dylan drifted outside May close to the line so its not really a solution to needing a ball playing full back. I doubt they are willing to sacrifice to much on the defensive side but Laurie has been a full back forever there is no reason to suggest they would be sacrificing a lot with Laurie. I think will see him or someone else transitioned into the fullback role over the course of next season.

If we go with a smaller fullback I think Naden on the wing is the go........if he's here

I like Naden on the wing.

Re smaller fullbacks. The two we have would be Laurie or Staines, neither of these guys will get dominated like Moylan used to imo. Moylan didnt have the speed of these two. I think both Laurie and Staines know how to use their speed and skills a lot better to avoid being dominated due to their small size.

Edwards was great all year. We lost the GF by a couple of penalty goals despite literally playing our worst game of the season. I'm not moving anyone of our spine unless there's injury or suspension.

Edwards seems prone to leg injuries like hamstring and knees so even if he's first choice you'll want a good back up.

That is when Staines will get his chance at fullback, provided he too can stay fit.

How will Big Game Nath go to night?

Lucky he is playing against a terrible QLD side and Keary will be the main playmaker

It’s weird after such a dominating season and all the smugness only 1 panther player can make the origin teams
