Discipline/game IQ. He seems to have just about none at all. If he were a bit smarter or just level headed and stuck to real basics without the brain explosions - he'd be an absolute ace.

Physically he was by far our most explosive and powerful forward. Absolute freak athlete, none of our other forwards were even in the post code to him athletically.

I suspect that it may be a coaching issue TBH. I feel that a Bennett or a Bellamy could rein the beast in.

Ivan just does not have that in him. Ivan does not mold or reform wayward players. He cuts and runs on them if they are not to his liking.

I think Hetherington was a much more mature player in 2020, his high tackle which ultimately ended his season was because of his judicial history in previous seasons, he walked into that Warriors squad and became a leader.

If he brings that to the dogs in 21, would not be surprise if Jack is an outside chance pushing for an Origin spot.....

Get the popcorn ready for WT trying to get Laurie for 2021.

Say no Ivan, Say No!
Even if you don't need him, just say no to these fkrs, they kickd up a stink when you wanted to go at the end of your contract, make laurie fullfill his contract..

Just on hethro, god i love him, but even gould said it, his missing temperament, 120 miles an hour, turns into a bull seeing red, its great, but dangerous and uncontrolled when you cannot afford to give away penalties, or be a man down for sinbins, he reminds me of gorden tallis

Good luck to him. Though not sure his career will take off.

I really do think we have bet on the right horse in Staines.
Cannot blame him, he is going where the position is vacant, or atleast able to play towards, wouldn't have gotten passed Staines, Edwards or To'o, let alone the other depth backs in burton, naden, etc

It's going to be fascinating to see the carryon from the W/T faithful about an early release for Laurie. I understand they have already asked for one....(the club).

If it continues with wanting a release for 2021, their continual carryon about Ivan falls into the mud at Leichhardt.

Interesting times.

I disagree I think his lack of IQ and discipline will continue to run amok.

Daine Laurie's profile has been removed from the players page, that tells me that he will be re-leased soon. Jermaine Hopgood's profile has been removed too.

I couldn't think of a single thing that would be worse than the club other than relocation or getting kicked out of the comp.

Our Juniors is our No.1 competitive advantage with daylight 2nd.
You only put yourself on the draft if you want to leave the club you're at and your current contract is up, and there is no other way of doing it. I'm not so sure it would disadvantage our club. Gus was certainly in favour of it.

If Tigers want Laurie early then maybe a player swap. Tommy Talua will do.
We dont need tigers rejects, although id be happy for benji to be a 2nd string half, helping the reserve graders, and possibly playing a few games mid season while origin duties or test duties take away nate and romy...
As long as he knows thats why he is there.. (dont want him expecting 1st grader only mansauce style)

I reckon he could definitely get past Edwards, his ball playing is much better.

My guess is they’re not releasing Laurie yet because they don’t want other players off contract at the end of 2021 to think that’s an option. Once/If they’ve retained the players they want, they’ll release Laurie.
Plus Ivan Karma, don't let him go, they didn't want to let you go!videotogif_2020.11.20_13.56.15.gif
Just give Pascoe one of these

Can he break tackles like edwards?
Moot point anyway he's already gooooone!!!

He’s a different type of fullback for sure, Laurie is more of a ball player, Edwards a ball runner. Depends what a specific team needs, but I think we’d benefit from more ball playing at the back. Which is why I’d like to see us pursue Burton as our fullback. Staines looks a gun, but he’s more of a ball runner I think. Although he does have a nice pass.
