We are in danger of losing our future, some of the guys we have already lost played in our top 17 during the course of this season.

I suggest most of us expected we would have effectively managed our roster & cap and perhaps had our future signed and sealed yet despite a large number of outgoings including some high earners we in a battle to retain three very important players essential to our on going success.

Maybe i was naive, but i thought we would have done better and not in the position we currently find ourselves in.

Again I say we are no worse then a few other sides.

We will have a FB and backup locked in. A rep centre. Rep halves who are both only 23. A rep middle who will become Captain. Martin that was spoke of as an Origin option this year all locked up.

That looks like a decent base right there

I renew my memberships regardless of whether we come last or win the minor premiership.

I know clubs don’t issue statements around on going contract negotiations but surely it would be beneficial to issue a general statement around our retention & recruitment going forward and give the fans some feedback.

This forum is but a small minute sample of our wider fan base and there is a lot of frustration and despair at present amongst our wider fan base I’m hearing it every day in my circle of friends and acquaintances.

I don’t think too many of us saw this situation coming and for the most part most fans seemed to be confident our management had our cap and roster under control.

That confidence has well and truly been eroded and the team (Squad) that got us to the GF is being decimated, particularly if we lose one or more of Crichton, Burton, Lenui and Naden to add to those already lost.

Or maybe you're overreacting. I am sure the retentions will be announced soon.

Are you comfortable going from what we had in 2020 to having a decent base for 2021.

I don’t care one iota how other sides are travelling, we just won a minor premiership and as it stands we potentially will go into 2021 with a squad which will be significantly inferior and that’s the bit that I don’t quite understand.

I understand managing a salary cap is extremely challenging particularly given how many young talents we unearthed in a short period of time but I just don’t get how we appear to have gotten it so wrong.

I hope so. But the point I make some of the players currently being aggressively targeted by other clubs should have been locked up. Spencer Lenui and Stephen Crichton in particular. I can understand there would have been difficulties around Matt Burton given he doesn’t have an automatic pathway his preferred position and perhaps Brent Naden.

How can our brains trust justify the re-signing of Tyrone May, albeit on a one year deal, when the likes of Lenui should have been a much higher priority that’s what I don’t understand.

I have said this before, and I will say this again, why are you buying into this media rumours?

1000%. We started the year unsure of the best 6 in the club. Ended up with a 6 that made the SOO squad.

Strike outwide was another issue. Crichton and Staines fixes that.

As for our Pack. Yeo is now an Origin player. Martin has developed into a proven FG. Capewell again showed in SOO what he has.

How can you say we got it so wrong when you just admitted you don't look at how other teams are going?

Not buying into any media rumours Jane.

The fact is we had three young guns critical to our on field success going forward who were not locked up by our management and as a consequence are being aggressively target by a number of other clubs. That’s not media rumours that is a fact.

All three of Crichton, Burton & Lenui may well all re-sign with us but it will not be without a lot of pain and that is evident by the players who we have lost including the most recent in Daine Laurie.

I think our management team could and should have done better. Mistakes have been made, we have paid a price already and there may be more pain to come.

I'm struggling to see or understand the 'woe is' menality at the moment.

Maybe I am just a positve person.......

Perhaps some retention talks could have started earlier, but with the bubble, shortned season and Penrith playing grandfinal it's been a bit out there.

The players that have left have done so to suit their own needs.

Will Burton re-sign I have my doubs especially when you see the money being flung around by the dogs and sharks. I would like Burton like Lauire to hand round in 2021

Hopefully Crighton and lenui re-signs......

I did notice that Bill Kikua is being listed as a prop now.

Also I believe Jennings and Matts signings were smart to offer depth. Both have talent.

Personally I'm told old and too ill to worry about who signs and who chooses to move on.

For me footy is not life and death it's a bit of fun.
