Embarrassment of riches, but surely the journeyman Williame & JP are nothing more than back up players. It has to be Feagai & Ramsey on the left.
100% agree. The left only yielded only 5 tries in 2020 compared to 28 on the right. Williame & JP would be way too conservative a choice for me.

To be fair, I'd like to see the numbers for when Aitken was selected on the right as well. I believe Aitken is the main reason whey there were so few tries scored on the left.

However, it is my opinion that with Max Feagai and Ramsey on the left, many more tries will be scored and the ratio between left and right edge should be fairly even.

Left centre and left wing are our most contentious positions moving into 2021.
Max F would be a good choice at centre ut can play wing.as well. I think Matt F is more of a winger, but maybe George Dragon can verify his optimum position. Williame will be in the mix for centre (prefer him in CC tbh). Sauni-Esau is also a specialist left centre, but he is on a DS contract at this point.

Left wing, I think will come down to either Rav or JP.
Ramsay outside of Lomax is an exciting prospect and that right side will be lethal in attack.

I’d go Rav. Time to get reap the benefits of his development. If he could keep improving his handling he could really add something to our attack with finally a visionary centre on the left side

It's interesting to note the "experience" v "youth" across our backline. As an example:

RW - Ramsey (played 3 games)
RC - Lomax (played 37 games)
RE - Ford (played 17 games)
So thats 57 games total for the right side

LE - Sims (played 183 games)
LC - Max F (played 2 games)
LW - Rava (played 35 games)
So our left side has way more experience than the right, but you might say the right is more potent in attack.

Defense however????

I’d go Rava on the right to keep building his combo with Lomax. On the left I’d go Feagai and Ramsey but I’d be happy with both Feagai bros at the expense of whichever winger isn’t cutting it. I would definitely prefer to have Ramsey playing as at the moment we have very few backup options at fullback should Dufty get injured. If we can get Ramsey up to speed he can easily transition there in the event of an injury.

Yep keep the Lomax and Rava combo on the right, was great to watch at times throughout the season. Feagai brothers, Williame, Ramsey, JP to fight out the left side

Yeah mate...people were impressed with Max when he made his debut wait till Mat gets his shot in first grade...Max is the sledge hammer and Mat is the scalpel...Mat is tall, fast and covers the ground with ease and is outstanding on his feet...

These two brothers are truly the future of the club and in time will no doubt be stars of the game in my opinion...

If both are to stay at the club we will have to lose Rava, Ramsey or Dufty though in my opinion. For me the centre’s are locked in long term in Zac and Max if Matt takes one wing it leaves Rava and Ramsey to fight it for the final spot. Throw Sloan in the mix and we have some difficult decisions to make. I reckon Rava will need to change positions or be a backup. I think Dufty may make way at some stage.

Wiliame will have to improve dramatically on what he offered the few times he made it onto the park this year to convince me he is NRL standard. Feagai/Ramsey for mine on the left. I also believe the newly beefed up Ramsey may lay down a solid challenge to Dufty for FB.

Thanks for the info be55. What are their best positions in your opinion? Are they both fair dinkum centres or just as strong on the wing?

And JP, If Dufty kicks on in defence and positional play this year he will mortgage the jumper

Sullivan, Sloan, SSE, Feagai x 2, Lomax, Ramsay, Dufty,.Hunt, Clune, Rav who could be our Sivo.
11 does not go into 7 for the minimum next 2-3 yrs and their other backs within on our radar
Can’t keep them all and some will have to buy their time through Reggie’s and be sure they can handle it and be ready
but we have to take time and be patient to get the selections right
I believe we have the people in place now to get this next transition right
Exciting in good position to be in as far as the backs go when for so long we had no depth
now you gotta start looking at getting the back row forwards depth and balance right!
where a few years ago we were forward heavy and back light but no depth quality just a good starting side

A few good purchases for the forwards in 2021 / 2922 and we are just about there with depth and the makings of a very good squad
it’s now over to the right people to get their skill fitness and mental level up to play 80 minutes of NRL consistently Which has sadly all three are been lacking in the past many years it’s not that far away
much to most people’s negative comments on here our squad is not that far away on paper to be challenging

My only concerns are and yet to be proven right or wrong are whether our new Reggie’s coach from HelensburghTigers and Matt Head being the coach of the pathways transition kids are the right appointments
We still have Willie for JF

JP I reckon would be relatively happy being a backup at his stage but Ramsey the Feagai boys and Sloan not so much. Hopefully we can keep the twins together. I haven’t seen Matt play besides highlights. But he’s big and strong and if he’s faster that Rav he could end up being a more dangerous version of Rava. In any case may the best men win. It’s a great problem to have for once.

If it was 1. Dufty 2. Ramsey 3. Fegai, the opposition could kick to that corner, drag Dufty backwards and smash a small rookie on the second hitup over and over.

Until Dufty starts returning more effectively, or is replaced, I think we need big wingers.

We still have 3 places on the roster to fill. Based on Tariq's track record with injuries and our lack of depth in the backrow- I'd be looking to fill at least 2 of those 3 with edge forwards.
Bird is not an option until he gets at least a dozen or so games under his belt off the bench.

We also have an oversupply of wingers. Saints should be putting out feelers to swap/move on JP early to a club in need of wingers (Dogs perhaps with Crichton injury).

This is how the better clubs operate.

Good insight to the problems that face us.

Just magnifies the dumb decision to let Host go.

Oops I forgot Mc Fookknuckle was supposed to stay and that would have meant Frizz stays as well as they were "close" and we wouldn't have this problem lol.

What were the BOD thinking allowing those idiots to not only coach the club but to set the direction for the future (lol x ∞)
