To’o has hardly benefited from being on the left. How often does the ball even make it to him. The space created is used by Luai/Kikau/Burton. To’o has spilled a few over the line because he has had 5 defenders to crash through once he gets it.

Crichton did nothing on the left in the first 3 games. He’s out of form. Even if he was in form I fall on the side of the argument that we are far more dangerous with a weaker centre in our left edge and a strong centre on the right. Get some fluency going down the right and we are a threat across the park. Currently teams can throw bodies at our left edge knowing the movement out to the right is clunky and slow.

If it isn't broke don't fix it. Mansour moved on so To'o coming across ( to his natural side ) is justified.

Crichton made the SOO squad on the left side. was centre of the year on that same side now he is moved.

It is no wonder our attack is good without being great

Crichton was the best centre last year. Round 1 he and the whole comp was looking for match fitness
Round 2 in the down pour
Round 3 v Storm
Then he was FB
Last week right side.

Burton will go in the halves on and off during Origin.
His potential replacement either Naden or Momo are right centres.

So does that mean every few weeks Crichton goes back to the left for a week or 2. Then back to the right for a fortnight.

Then repeat?

That is just dumb when the easiest way is just keep the left in tact and rotate the right

So yes it is just nonsense for building chemistry

and yet it's better than the alternative which is dropping Burton entirely as halves depth because he can't, as far as we know, play right side consistently.

Then next year when no Burton. Crichton goes to the left?

Why not just keep Crichton on the left and Burton on the right? Given Burton is certain to replace Cleary? Luai is 50/50 to play Origin but Cleary is certain. That way he can just slot in rather then move Luai to cover Cleary

Bennett, Robinson or Bellamy would keep switching their best back around. It is this years May at centre and shows Cleary is a bit away from the great coaches yet

To’o’s natural side is the left? Why can’t he put the ball down with his left hand? Naden played left centre when he first came into the side in 2019 and made us all quickly forget about Waqa. I’m sure Momo with the amount he passes the ball left to right (very infrequently) can manage on the left for the one Origin game we need to cover.

I think it’s splitting hairs but not nonsense. Would not be fussed if Burton went over to the right.

This year's May haha you are so closed minded about football.

Who cares about next year though? Isn't the priority winning the comp right now? Putting Burton on the right and Crichton on the left is an overall weaker team than Burton left/Crichton right. Bellamy would absolutely pick his best team for that year like Ivan is doing right now.

I have no issue if the right side is where Crichton will stay. If not then we will get to next year and be no further along with combinations for both sides.
