Sharks already have a mortgage on Perth. So the Tigers should perhaps look at Tasmania.

The Perth back door tigers has a nice ring to it.

Half time entertainment can be a 100m race between female fans with a big inflatable Benny chasing them. Maybe have them carry a tray of drinks for added fun.

seriously though the tigers aren’t going to relocate. You’d imagine the local governments got some assurances from them about that before committing to build the centre of excellence down at concord.

PS f**k whatever marketing goose at the Titans who decided to brand their training facility as a centre of excellence, forcing every idiot club to do the same.

oh great, more of them!

This will be easts 2nd centre of excellence in like 10 years since the current facilities only got built recently. Great use of resources that.

That is from 2017 so maybe the same one? Just posting it to point out its Gladys fault bro

Wasn't it future NRL CEO Michael Searle?

Anyone else remember all the posts calling for him to be head of the NRL fifteen years ago?

Millenial players want to sign for clubs with CofE. No shiny gym branded gym gear how are they going to insta every day looking good?

Back to Tigers. its hard to see why Wests Ashfield would sell unless they have been pumping massive funds into the club and want to share the load? We know Benny hasn't got the money for this so any rumours over there who is backing him? Who is in this consortium? For a major NRL story it all seems to have been very hush hush!

Centre of Excellence sounds like a district you build in CIV VI.
its where they hand out these

This talk ofselling the Tigers brand, and it’s just talk. Is it selling to the Firehawks and renaming the Sydney team as Wests Magpies or merging Brisbane Tigers and Wests Tigers

There's also a rumour, backdoor Benny is going to sell the brand to Eastern Suburbs in QLD, so if that happens, YOU'RE IN LUCK PAL, as the team has moved to you

This would make the most sense. Move the Tigers to Brisbane, we get the Brisbane Tigers with the colours and brand integrity preserved.

Wests could then bid to move to Perth and become the Western Magpies...or go back to being Wests Magpies playing at Campbelltown full-time, but the former makes better sense from a commercial perspective.

Could be a way for NRL to get to 18 clubs with min risk and investment?

West Sydney Magpies out of redeveloped Campbelltown and West Coast Tigers or East Brisbane Tigers making up an 18 club comp in 2026? Be very interesting to know if Sage is behind the Elias offer (Or Brisbane Easts). Is it coincidence that this has come at the same time that Sage has re-emerged to talk Perth expansion claiming he has a consortium willing to put $30million up for a club?

West Coast Tigers playing 9 games in Perth and 3 at Leichardt doesnt sound so far fetched, maybe? Be interesting to know if the staunch Balmain fans would rather continue to be a pseudo Magpies club with just a bit of the old Balmain branding and still based in Sydney or if they would rather go back to full on tigers brand with a 9-3 split with Perth? I could see the three game Leichardt West Coast Tigers Memberships being very popular! throw in a Tigers in Sydney membership for say 4 away games against Eels, Souths, Bulldogs and Magpies every year (that would be a cracking rivalry from day one!) with the 20k Perth RL fans and yoU have potentially one of the biggest membership clubs in the NRL!
