Interesting? Watch this space I guess because atm, it's only a jorno saying it? If true, Gould must have the golden touch and Sheens has coped a slap in the face. 😂

Cameron Ciraldo lunch photo sparks rumours of ‘done deal’ to coach Dogs

I don't mind who he ends up with. Turns out I am glad it's not with us. Imagine signing him for 5 years and a year or two later Cleary has to retire for health reasons. Ciraldo has a great mentor when it comes to not fulfilling contract obligations and would be back at the Panthers within weeks. On the other hand if things go well with Benji he could be our equivalent of Bellamy and we could be confident of him staying with us as long as he is wanted.

These comments in the Telegraph concern me.

The final decision is likely to rest with Marshall and Brooks. It is believed that Sheens wants Brooks to stay but it may take Marshall to convince the halfback that the Tigers would be the best move for his future given the criticism that has shadowed the No.7 in recent months.

Brooks aside, Doueihi is clearly a priority for the club while Hastings may choose to look elsewhere given he has been moved to lock in recent weeks.

The one thing they havent done is give the Hastings/Doueihi combo a proper run, they've only played together in the halves for parts of games. Bite the bullet and put Brooks to hooker or bench for a few weeks and see how the other 2 perform together with full control of the team.

Nah....I don't think so...I feel 99.99% sure that Ciraldo's been locked and loaded at the dogs since Barrett was axed... he just went through the motions with us and Penrith to either get the maximum out of the dogs or maybe just at Gould's direction to fuel the games he loves to play....look at his interviews since Barrett left...."haven't even thought about a new coach"....he didn't have to...he already had one.

It’s almost as if someone or some people want Brooks to stay, no matter what, so they’re worried the Hastings/Doueihi will work really well. But surely not, surely they must value the teams performance over putting one player on the feild?

We tried the whole "defense wins you a premiership" thing. Didn't work. Let's go back to "if we score more points than you, we win". I miss yelling at the TV with excitement and my non-WT mates shocked by the ridiculous tries and come-from-behind wins.
But we need players who can play that style .. cant see either AD , Hastings or Laurie carving up a side :(

A great opportunity for Fox to do an NRL Apprentice show. They don't even need to do stupid stunts like how long can they hold there breath under water.
I seriously think it would be fascinating but would be too much pressure on the 5 apprentices. I'm assuming Brett and our two current assistant coaches would be in the running with Robbie and Benji.
After hearing what Benji had to say I would be in favor of Sheens mentoring him for 2 or 3 years and then handing it over to him.

There you go Master Tiger and WA Tiger. Bet you never saw that coming. Me either for that matter.
Nice words Ned. After reading what W. Bennet said about Benji and listening to Benj on 360 I am becoming more confident that maybe the club has pulled the right string here.

I think a blend of Robbie’s arrogance and Benji”s wholesome approach is a good mix. You cannot dismiss Robbie’s passion for the WT jumper.
Robbie won’t want to be assistant long term. He’s in a good spot for now tho.. Less pressure, he can blow up when he wants and a good top up alongside his business while fulfilling an itch..He will be learning and be ready to hit the big time before too long at the tigers or other. Everyone knows his passion for the game, his ability on the field, his toughness in origin, how he won’t back down and have seen how he conducts himself with confidence and clarity in the media and is popular, principled and relatable as on the scoreboard that day. He’s a class act and with success will be sort after soon enough

Maybe, next in line after Benji, if it turns to shit?
We need better recruitment more than a coach imo?

Good luck to Benji tho..Anthony Albanese is a Pisces (like Benji)caring sensitive emotional and a Rabbit so the very least threatening Pisces yet you can see, that he can see, very clearly what needs fixing and is doing that, after the disaster that Morrison left us …With the right people around them it might just work.. I don’t know which job would be tougher..

Who’s coming and who’s going. Who the f**k knows?

The talk of Woods coming back ? FFS surely journo's having a lend.

There is a lot in that article about Newcastle being after Brooks and the Tigers even considering letting Hastings go. I don't understand why we don't try Hastings and Doueihi in the halves.

f**k it. Bring Woodsy back. Say whatever you want but when he was on he was f**king on. I'd take him over majority of the front rowers we have now

Yeah, nah.
Woods will be 32 when next season starts, certainly is a better option than Tamou (currently and at the same age), but why would they want him?
As the forward leader, I give you exhibit A - Api is the forward leader.
As the experienced forward, well every year adds experience and the Tigers have Joe O, Twal, hopefully Papali’i, to help the young ones.

Nah, no home coming for me.
