Clubs were sniffing around and asked the eels for JA recently- source David Riccio……they asked for him this year
so did the Panthers not rate Burton? They let him go and didn’t let one of their starting halves leave after they choked in a GF?
so now if the junior half leaves they are rated , thought you said if the nrl halves were let go the junior was rated…..talk about changing, throw enough darts you get it right!
Anyhow you are the one making the stupid assumption an 19 year old half isn’t rated by their club as they are unwilling to let their starting halves leave for him….what a f**ken stupid assumption!! Illogical!!
Luai didn't make his NRL debut until age 21 and wasn't a regular starter until he was 23. Cleary debuted at 18 and was a regular starter at 19. The point is NRL players develop at different rates.
So how come no club signed Luai before he was playing regular first grade?
Umm, injured at training perhaps?
So after the injured list comes out, after the training photos were taken and before the team was announced.
Doesn't always have to be a consipiracy.
He’d still probably like having to carry Jakey in the defensive line even less.
Picking Jakey’s faults and saying he isn’t ready is apparently sledging lol. I suppose it is 2022.I feel if I give a genuine assessment on players or how they need to improve to get to the next level to many in here come with the pitch forks and attack. I'm getting quite sick of it tbh.
It's called constructive criticism and it's how one betters themself. Plenty of jobs I have done I have had feedback on how I could of done neater or better. I am atleast man enough to listen and learn and then the next time I do it I have improved.
Is it better to just say yeah that's good enough?

How do you know they expect to keep Moses and Drown after 2023? How many clubs have two halves on $1M+?Yes. We are very lucky to have him in our books. Its very exciting. My comment I stand by.
It's the same reason we let Norman walk. We had Dylan Brown ready to go. And at the time BA was happy to let Norman or Moses. It was just St George valued Norman more. Not to many where interested in Moses.
So I will repeat it. If we rated JA so much we would not try and keep Brown and Moses past 2023. By 2024 JA would be 21. It would be 4yrs since he made his NRL debut. I genuinely don't think the club rate him that highly. They see him as inferior to what they have or want to keep. He is a handy back up however.
Nothing wrong with that. And hey if he proves us wrong then perhaps we do let Mitch go and keep JA. He would be 1/3 of the cost.
When did you become such a tampon?
No, Gould said they always thought he would be better than Cleary. They expected him to become a first grader but he want ready for 20+ games until he was 23. Before that he was a backup.I don't know. Perhaps Penrith already had him locked up? Maybe he was always injured in juniors and didn't stand out based on that. It's a guessing game. But they sure got rig of Maloney as soon as they could to promote him.
I don’t think anyone disagrees with any of that. Including very likely the club.Yes. We are very lucky to have him in our books. Its very exciting. My comment I stand by.

He'll probably sign with Melbourne and end up a champion.Bloody oath I question Moses, I think he is very good (and glad he is our half) however makes poor decisions at times (and at important moments) but he is on close to million a year too …….with 200 so NRL games…..
JA is on bugger all, only 19 years old with 10 or so games….
expectations of both a different……
anyhow JA may turn out to be a below average NRL, but he has a fair skill set with decent potential (and more agile and faster then you think) and we won’t know which he will go until his 25 or so with 50 to 100 NRL games……gee Townsend (who some has compared JA too) was pretty average for a good part of his early career…..
but calling a 19 year half a dud is while to early of a call to make…..gee some were calling Drown a dud a year or so ago and Mahoney a dud 2 years ago (probably yourself included) but now they are must keeps apparently…….
There was article awhile back that no 5/8th was paid more than $1m and only 2 were paid more than $750k.How do you know they expect to keep Moses and Drown after 2023? How many clubs have two halves on $1M+?
And then the booers will say BA was holding him back…He'll probably sign with Melbourne and end up a champion.
Oh Nanna! When did you become such a tampon?
Now you are getting it, FFS!!And then the booers will say BA was holding him back…
