Leichhardt does not have a higher attendance at all actually Wb.

Since its formation, the Wests Tigers have had:

- 92 home games at Leichhardt Oval with an average attendance of 12,642 per game;
- 88 home games at Campbelltown Stadium with an average attendance of 11,728 per game;
- 20 home games at the old SFS with an average attendance of 18,332 per game;
- 15 home games at the SCG with an average attendance of 20,682 per game;
- 39 home games at (now) Accor Stadium with an average attendance of 22,397 per game; and
- 14 home games at Commbank Stadium with an average attendance of 10,648 per game.

As such I don't think Leichhardt Oval is what Wests Tigers fans are clamouring for per se.

Additionally, plenty of current and past administrators at the Wests Tigers have admitted that playing games at Leichhardt Oval severely erodes its revenue base as corporates will not pay corporate rates due to the poor amenities at that ground.
On those stats the tigers do have higher crowds at lo over commbank

Tigers will never, ever, get 20 000 at Leichhardt again.
They could get 30000 at Commbank when doing well.
Not to mention the massively huge increase in corporate facilities in income.
Leichardt is a f**king dump.
How on earth you could be arguing for that over Commbank for the Tigers I'll never understand.
You think Penrith would ever give up their ground as it is to play at commbank ?

tigers are a weird case they don’t know where they acrually represent but it’s certainly not parra stadium

with Gus in charge if he doesn’t die soon I expect
Belmore will get a full rebuild

On Penrith

Stadium silence

The Liberal Party put out a sneaky tweet last week suggesting Labor Candidate for Penrith, Karen McKeown, opposes the proposed new Penrith Stadium.

It stems from Council’s involvement in the stadium debate last year and is one of those political claims that circles the truth without quite landing on it.

What is true is that it’s less likely the new stadium will go ahead at the Paceway and Showground site if Labor win the election. They’re not willing, unless a strong business case suggests otherwise, to entertain an expanded budget for the project. That could leave the whole project in a difficult position – knocking down and re-building essentially the same stadium on the existing site would be illogical and make little sense – which is why the Paceway and Showground concept came to the fore.

you'd be surprised by how many anti-sports people there are here in NSW. Not like the AFL states where Gill and his mob of pirates rob the taxpayers of billions without anyone blinking an eye
Maybe because you insist on stupid stadium policies instead of investing in one or two good ones and having them used all year round by lots of teams and lots of events for max public ROI?

Don't care about this election at all but it seems Labour's main policy is to scrap projects and pretend like it’s a budget saving.

before the election suck up to voters by saving money on so called wasteful spending instead putting it into roads and hospitals

once elected sit down and negotiate with the nrl for the grand final

Eh? again with the nonsensical comparisons.

Sydney only needs 4 decent club stadiums max
Commbank (Eels, Tigers Bulldogs)
Allianz (Roosters, Souths, Manly)
Penrith
Southern Stadium (and thats questionable) (Dragons and Sharks)

Upgrades to
Win
Newcastle

There's your NSW stadium strategy right there

If clubs after that want to play in their shtholes rather than these govt funded state of the art joints thats up to them, let them get left behind.

As usual your grasp of reality eludes you. You think the NSW govt is going to fork out for 6 new or seriously refurbed stadiums? lol

Over time yeh I do

shark park will get a small makeover of 50 mill, Brookie around 100 mill to do the hill, gong if dragons go largely full time needs one more stand

belmore is the only total rebuild

dogs still over the land at Liverpool too which could fit a stadium of 20k or a bit under

None of the above gives those clubs venues befitting of a 21st century top tier sport. Wasting $300-500mill slapping Lipstick on pigs.
Should be 25k min all seater with at least 20k seats under cover, X min corporate facilities, led lighting and signage, decent big screens and proper food and toilet amenities. That is what all NRL stadiums should be as min criteria. For a billion $ sport we look at times like we never left the 70's.
