$0 loan repayment v $40mill a year interest + loan repayment, yeh exactly the same. cuckoo cuckoo.2 million for 1000 extra standing spaces
1 billion for 60k extra seats
Same ratio
Double standards are obvious

Arsenal 'explore plans to expand 60,000-seater Emirates Stadium'
Arsenal are reportedly exploring options to renovate their Emirates Stadium in an effort to increase matchday revenue after watching rival clubs jump ahead of them.www.dailymail.co.uk
Hmm that’s interesting
Ten percent returns also for old Trafford
And that’s without multiple tenants
Can the broncos do it sure why notlol
1. where do you get 10% return on old trafford from?
2. Can Broncos fill a 74k seater stadium at $200 avg a ticket every game like Man Utd can?
3. Utd play up to 30 home games a season, Broncos up to 14 with half the crowds
We only have one privately owned stadium in Australia, and that is returning around $10mill profit with multiple tenants and cost $200mill to buy. But yeh paying well over $1bill to build a stadium is going to provide a great return lol Now if Broncos could buy Suncorp for $200mill you might have a point!

lol, again do the maths! Can the broncos do it sure why not
He hasn’t lost the plot. He never had it.lol, again do the maths!
Lets say you could build a 60k+ stadium for $1billion, which you cant.
Lets say someone gifts them a massive parcel of land near the CBD to build it on, which they wont
Lets say that you could get 4% on q $1billion loan ie cost $40mill interest plus sum repayment of $25million (ie paying it off over 40 years)
Do you really believe a stadium is going to return: running costs + $65million + 10% profit a year?

Again Govts arent paying off a loan on their stadiums! Take out the fanciful ' benefit to local economy' inflated figures they come up with in these reports and stadiums in no way make any financial sense.Yes I do
You know governments have to do a cba to justify stadium spends ?
Granted some have poor returns like Penrith (2 to 3 percent pa) but a large rectangular stadium in Brisbane will have a much higher return
As I said English soccer clubs are doing over ten percent with only one major tenant and not many other events
The broncos are the biggest rugby club in the world
Who knows maybe the arl would want to part invest given their previous discussion about funding a stadium in Liverpool
You obviously don’t know what a cba isAgain Govts arent paying off a loan on their stadiums!
If the stadium was free, sure you could run one and make a bit of profit Im sure. But if you are forking out $65mill a year to pay off the build of it then you've got buckleys chance of not losing money. Again its why there are NO privately built new stadiums in Australia (other than the sweet deal Marvel one)
Sure when Broncos can charge $400k a suite and $3k a game for premium seat, and get 70k paying $200-$1000 a ticket then Im sure they'll be in the same position as the top EPL clubs who are building their own stadiums!
Olympics. Wouldn't be happening otherwise. And they are spending our money, what do they care. If they were taking out loans they had to pay back how many do you think would get built? You obviously don’t know what a cba is
How are they justifying spending 3 billion on an afl stadium in Brisbane with two tenants ??
Are they going to charge the lions rent of 30 to 50 million ?? Lmao
The economics for a large rectangular stadium in Brisbane would be probably the strongest stadium proposal in Australia
If stadiums return 10% why arent Panthers building it rather than paying rent? I'll tell you why because they would lose money lol![]()
Revealed: how Stuart Ayres drove the plan for Penrith’s even more ambitious new stadium
Exclusive: documents show the former minister pushed for the compulsory acquisition of Penrith Paceway for a new stadium to be built in his seatwww.theguardian.com
Here’s an example of cost benefit analysis done on stadia
“The documents reveal that in November 2021, business cases for the redevelopment of Penrith stadium (on its current site) and Manly’s Brookvale stadium were completed. The Brookvale assessment, released to the upper house under a call for papers, showed a poor benefit-to-cost ratio of just 0.24 (where 1.0 represents break even). The Penrith assessment has not been released.”
This is why the Penrith proposal got scaled back
I just posted above the Penrith stadium has a poor return because it’s only got one tenantIf stadiums return 10% why arent Panthers building it rather than paying rent? I'll tell you why because they would lose money lol
Could somebody please handcuff this idiot so he stops ruining threads with utter stupidity.I just posted above the Penrith stadium has a poor return because it’s only got one tenant
Suncorp will have dolphins broncos reds and roar
Plus origin magic finals and concerts
Apples and oranges
Broncos aren’t in a position now to undertake a new stadium but once their profits get up around 20 million they might consider it
And your mate Pvl might think it’s a good idea owning part of the stadium near the two hotels he’s bought in Brisbane
Broncos would have made a killing on that event if they owned the stadium lol
Bit like the crowd bonanza that is kr v the giants.Broncos would have made a killing on that event if they owned the stadium lol
eh? Craven Park was 90% full for the Giants game lolBit like the crowd bonanza that is kr v the giants.
So, if the Broncos built a new stadium, suddenly all those events and clubs would play there???I just posted above the Penrith stadium has a poor return because it’s only got one tenant
Suncorp will have dolphins broncos reds and roar
Plus origin magic finals and concerts
