According to Anasta on NRL360 who is also his manager, Jonah Pezet is off contract if Hughes re-signs with the Storm.

I could say the fact its only melbourne who this could affect so who cares.

But how on earth do we have a Player Manager being able to host an NRL Show and just throw out there confidential contract terms like this on national TV as it was around a table at the pub..

Isn't it a conflict of interest Anasta using his role to promote his players while on a show that should be partial.

Guess we will now see in real time just how good and pro active our CEO.HOF and recruitment leader really are. Some room in the cap, good young players coming through, Centre of Excellence up and running, big supporter base and sound financial base. A young well regarded coach so plenty to sell, we should expect a minimum short replenishment timeframe looking at Fitzgibbon and Ciraldo achievements.

Wwll, it’s a good thought, see how it all goes now, no more fluffy emails , need action and success. This may have pushed them into the real world. The decline in the roster since losing those players at the end of 2022 is very damning and probably testament to their real ability, as said before - may you live in interesting time - is a Chinese Curse. Burton is the most overrated merkin in the comp I don’t know how he does it just by kicking the ball high.

I reckon he is a very dangerous ball runner and has a great pass also. I rate above Dylan in attack by a bit. His defense isn't close

So that makes him a better player than them?? Hayne was an origin quality player. By 21 he was the best player in the game. Lyon was a freak at that age as well. Maybe dig up some stats on him.

I am not one who thinks he is overrated. Also think he is one of the better 5/8's in the game!

But that is a stupid deal by the Knights! To good to refuse!

Anyhow I wouId offer Drown the option of a full release tonight. I can't see any benefit of keeping him. I doubt we are winning the comp this year. Free up some cap space and give some rookies a chance. Volk, Papa....they won't be anywhere near Drown's level but they get experience....

But if he stays dropping him is a stupid idea...

I'd still like to win some games this year, and with Moses injured he is still the best half we have available.
No point letting him go to another team this season. It's not like we're tanking for a high draft pick.

I am surprised that Tyran Wishart's name has not been reported as a potential replacement.
How long will he be happy on the bench for at age 25?
He is apparently on 350k and his contract has a club option for 2026 only. Would likely be much cheaper than Galvin and possibly as good a fit
