I actually say we keep Molo, so not pay him a cent while he refuses to train and play, and then also seek an exemption in the top 30 so we can sign klemmer. Why should we let Molo go to benefit him when we can hold him to a contract in which he can’t get out of?
Then why should the NRL give us an exemption to sign another player, if we are not going to pay him and hold him to the contract?

ROOSTERS TARGET WANTAWAY DRAGONS STAR

The Sydney Roosters have emerged as a potential landing spot for disgruntled Dragons prop Francis Molo.

The Daily Telegraph reported the Roosters have shown interest in Molo, who is negotiating a release from the Dragons after a falling out with a staff member.

The Roosters were blown apart by the Broncos in Round 1 and are desperate to sure up their middle.

The Dragons meanwhile, are trying to offload Molo to sign Tigers prop David Klemmer to bolster their front row stocks.

The Dragons were blown away by the Bulldogs early in their Round 1 loss and need reinforcements in the pack with Molo unavailable while he sorts his release.

The 30-year-old Molo has scored 10 tries in 138 NRL games for the Broncos, Cowboys and Dragons since his debut in 2014 and would give the Roosters much needed grunt up front after the departures of Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Terrell May.
The Dragons are waiting for Molo to repay a significant amount of money that was advanced to him last year, before releasing him to allow Klemmer to join their ranks.

So, was Molo disgruntled before either he or his agent had talks with the Rorters?

It is my understanding the club is trying to get back what it has paid him in advance for this season and also there was some busy who suggested there might be a loan involved as well but can not confirm or deny that.

I suspect until that is all sorted he will remain a Dragon

Tigers` got him because Eels didn`t want him. Reckon Galvin will stay, lot of good things starting to happen at the Tigers. I think he`ll want to be there to be part of it.
Just like Brown and Parra?
who wouldn't take that offer?

Gotta disagree - Money talks!

Eels already have Moses on top dollar and couldn't match knights

My guess, Roosters outside Walker under sombrero

OT apparantly club loaned him money for house extensions or similar , and he has to pay it back So he needs a club to want him and then get said club to forward him money to pay us back

On the radio today it said Saints forwarded some contract money so Molo could get a pool. They’re not cheap so that’s probably in the 6 figures ballpark

He used to be such a weapon. Not that long ago either. I wonder what on earth has happened with him? Wayne will get the best out of him. Hate to say this but Flannos style obviously wasn't a good match for him as he looks sad lately. Rav used to be such a joyful player, loved doing his tackles.
Apparently he rushed into the Souffs office to sign the contract, missed everyone, and then dropped the pen.

Rava has apparently passed his medical with Souths.

This appears to be a loan deal only for season '25 and he will he back at the Dragons come Nov 1.

Unless of course:
Souths want to keep him, or
Another club sees the value if he plays well at the Bunnies.

I kind of like the loan approach. The Fijian sidestep is a thing of beauty. The game needs some comic relief. So, I’d welcome Rava doing some rehab with Wayne and returning to the Dragons with a new lease on life.

I too like comic relief. I like to laugh at players who fly in and tackle no one in defence, who constantly drop the ball and look shell shocked playing first grade…but only if they’re playing for another team.

Because he refuses to train when he signed a contract stating he would…
he isn't getting paid by us now, he isn't showing up to work so we can terminate him, its a form of "job abandonment.'' when his manager is complaining that we won't release him and he has opportunities elsewhere(shows to me that his mental health must be fine now), the ball is in our court, therefore NRL shouldn't give us an exemption.

We cant just sack Frank though.. thats what his side is actually after.. because we are wanting all the money paid back and/or a transfer fee or a player swap.. this is why the whole situation is very complicated..
Manager has said that "loan money" was paid back, for us to be asking he pay back the contract money from Nov 1st is stupid, he was entitled to that money, he was away with Samoa playing internationals and due to that he started preseason training later as per their workplace agreements, then he came to training had the hissy fit and took sick leave and hasn't come back since then, so up until the sick leave ran out, he is entitled to that money, for us trying to get that back is stupid.
So either release him, work out a severance pay if any, sack him and move on OR are we doing all this not to expose a certain member of the coaching staff.

I hear ya, but thats where we are.. it seems like we want to make Frank and his manager stew for pulling this stunt.

However if he doesnt have any other contracts lined up (hypothetical, we dont know)... then any option for transfers or player swaps etc is null and void really, and we may as well settle it.. tbh if you were the Roosters.. your best play might be to say you arent interested, wait till the player is available, then initiate again.. because as of right now we are making any other clubs life very difficult to sign him.

When is the next cycle of payment to players? wonder if clubs are waiting for that before they jump in?
