I had to google Tanya Roberts. Rings a faint bell.

Presumably rings a bell for you too, but more in the Anita Ward sense.
She was in a few movies I like. Sheena (love the animal fur bikini), Beastmaster and a really good horror film from the late 70s called Tourist Trap. First and foremost though she was in Body Slam a wrestling based movie with my alltime favourite Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Love, love, love Barbara Stanwyck. Double Indemnity and Meet John Doe are two of my favourites from that era.
Great movies both of them, especially John Doe , my two favourites are No Man Of Her Own and Titanic,
Watched My Reputation a couple of months ago, another great Stanwyck movie.

Me and my mates used to play Marine Boy by throwing our thongs at each other.

Picture the scene -

May 1st 1976. Eight year old in full Man Utd kit complete with Man Utd hat and scarf, perched on the edge of a sofa four feet from the magic lantern.

BBC 1, 9:10 Marine Boy 9:35 Champion the Wonder Horse. Few more programmes, then... 11:15 Cup Final Grandstand Manchester United v Southampton.

It was a long and exhausting day.

Re Marine Boy. There's something piquantly evocative about underwater settings. Creates an otherworldly feel without leaving the planet.

I have Themeology, a CD of John Barry film and TV themes. Two of the standouts are the moog-propelled pieces from around the turn of the decade, On Her Majesty's Secret Service and The Persuaders Theme.

Through the 70s, a lot of theme and incidental music was made on synths by the likes of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. Helped to cut costs, particularly for children's TV and schools programmes. A composer with a moog is cheaper than groups of musicians.
