Any chance this happens

And where does the grand final go Etihad is too small

Unless they play it on the road in wales / Scotland / Ireland like they did for the cup ?

Etihad is 55k, its the next biggest northern stadium.
Only other option is playing it in London at Tottenham 63k or Wembley 90k.
Cardiff could well be the favoured choice, 74k and fans love the city

Four extra training fields, car park and small amount of retail

The commercial benefit looks minor

Why don’t they build a hotel or pub with so much land there ?

Unlike Liverpool going for the full rebuild which I ls surprising given the history of ot

Maybe too big for super league grand finals down the track

Pubs are closing left right and centre in England. Not a good investment. A hotel? lol I can tell youve never been down Preston road!

Loos a nice mix of money generating retail, community facilities and club facilities.

Actually walked past the ground when I was in hull

Lovely part of the town seen a guy walking down the street his face was all bleeding during the middle of the day and said hi

There was a cafe or shop in an old train carriage if I remember correctly

Dunno why a pub at the ground wouldn’t be a huge success with the game day stuff they have at one end

Like I said pubs are really struggling in uk, and one game day a fortnight isn’t enough to sustain one there. If you have actually walked down there you would not have made the stupid suggestion of building a hotel there lol

bit more from the club on the development

Etihad will be 63k by the time, if it actually happens, they pull down old trafford. Id expect the GF will go there. If it ever returns to Manchester will be interesting to see.

The rake on those stands is crazy

Super league had to stay here

Even 60k in there will look

Will this be the best stadium in the world ?

They’ve even copied the Wembley way in their own version

Strange time for Man U. In the same day Ratner was on tv saying they were hemorrhaging money and had massive debt they announce the most ambitious stadium project ever seen!

Read somewhere they were putting in a bid for some decent player

Is this a push to get back in super league and be the “Manchester club”

Their crowds in super league would probably be better than Salford

Giants to depart from huddersfield

This is a good move they can probably grow their crowds and can get rent from the two Halifax clubs

It’s a perfect stadium for the giants and can take modest improvements to increase capacity

Anfield is 61,000 after the latest stand redevelopment. Etihad is very far along in its redevelopment and will be 61,000 by next year.

Good pic of craven park before the Wigan game. Shows how much land there is around the stadium that the club is planning to develop.
