haha have you been to either recently (or ever?), they are incomparable!

Craven Park is now rated as one of the best game day experiences in SL. Sky sports love covering games there. Its selling out every game. Fans love it. But yeh you be you.
20k at odsal or 9k at craven park

When the bulls were winning super league every year odsal was a perfectly fine stadium

Wigan wire hull fc st Helens Salford giants and maybe Leeds all play at good stadia

The rest of super league play at dumps. The standard for super league grounds isn’t high at all

Bradford is a big rugby club they will be fine at odsal

It wasnt really, the winning put gloss on it. I was there for Bullmania, it was sht ground back then. It certainly isn't any better 25+ years later with no work done to it.

Fans and TV seem to prefer dumps, go figure.

Context is everything, something you seem to fail to be able to grasp in any of your posts.

According to you they will be ranked 12th out of all English and French clubs ands that’s based on crowds and finances in the championship

So in super league they will automatically be better than Salford giants and Wakey and after a few years hull kr too

lol

Maybe, but unless they get some money behind them then they wont be. They went tits up big time last time, hopefully they've learnt some lessons. I have a soft spot for Bradford and want them back in SL, but Odsal in its current state will always be an albatross that prevents them from being the games biggest club.

They went bust bc they had to bear the ground maintenance which they probably don’t now

Odsal is like homebush only looks ok with a big crowd in

They’ve been stable for a while outside super league based on a tiny grant from the rfl

All the Yorkshire clubs especially will get a boost from their away fans v Salford / giants who bring nobody

Wakefields stadium showing the two new stands. Still some way to go but great to see their new owner investing in the club and bringing it up to SL standard.

Money came from the settlement with Yorkcourt and council
Initially but the owner has committed to big investment as well.

New Wakefield owner Matt Ellis has promised to deliver a sustainable long-term future for the club and has stressed he will invest millions to make that happen.
Ellis estimates he will invest at least £1.5million of his own money in his first year of ownership.

Nov 24
Wakefield Trinity have submitted plans for further redevelopment of their home ground, Belle Vue.

After earning a spot in Super League by gaining a brilliant Grade A on the IMG grading system, they’ll want to consolidate their place in the division with further improvements under owner Matt Ellis.

Now, it seems that they’re close to further improvements, with a planning application received by Wakefield Council on Monday 18th November.
The plans submitted to Wakefield Council would include a new TV gantry and studio, as well as a new roof over the terraced West Stand.

There would be a staircase to the TV and media facilities, and potentially a relocated bar in an existing roofed section, as well as cladding to the rear of existing and proposed covered areas.

Ellis, who took control of Wakefield midway through the 2023 Super League season, has already overseen hefty investment in a brand new coaching and playing squad at the West Yorkshire club.

But now the owner of DIY Kitchens is keen to continue the impressive stadium redevelopment by concentrating on the West Stand following the installation of the new East Stand.

Amongst the ideas for the Western terrace is a rooftop bar – something which Ellis is keen to explore.

“I went up to the gantry, I’d never been before. The view off there, it gave me an idea of standing up there with a beer watching the match, it is one of the best views for rugby,” Ellis told BBC Radio Leeds.

“You’re high up, it’s not set too far back. Just imagine in the middle of summer with a bit of music going before the game, drumming up the atmosphere, it would be great.

“I want to put a roof on the Western terrace. We would see more home tickets in there and then if we could do the rooftop terrace, that would be great.

“We have to tidy it up. If you’re doing events in the East Stand and you’re looking over at the Western terrace, it’s not an ideal thing to look at if it’s a birthday party or wedding event.”

Yes but he hasn’t done much for it up to now

Indeed the 12 million from Yorkcourt was in lieu of a brand new stadium of 12k owned by Wakefield

Council let the developer get away with murder

cool.

why couldn’t they do the same thing with the other touchline stand?

that gap is horrible to look at and a waste.
That corner goes right up to the road so cant be developed. You can see from this shot how much bigger the new stand will be to the existing one, probably incorporate some boxes as well. Big step forward for the Dragons.

The temp east stand extension is complete at Craven Park. Adds an extra 1000 to capacity. New capacity is 11,200.
816 seats are set aside for away fans.
With nearly 10,000 full season memberships sold there will only be around 500 tickets available to home fans on game day. A ticket buy back scheme has been increased to try and cater for non-members opportunity to buy tickets.
Craven street has also been redeveloped as well and the old south terrace demolished to give more room for Craven St vendors and fans.
I expect the temp South stand will return for season end if we are in the playoffs adding a further 1000 home seats to capacity.
Further digital advertising board are installed along with extra toilets for the bigger capacity and the big screen repositioned for better viewing angles.

All ready for next weeks KO to a sell out crowd!

There’s a pool at one end too that stops development

Usap were being twats about sharing Aimee giral

16k is a good capacity for them to grow into before they try for 20k

There isnt room to add another 4000 seats unless the pool is demolished.

Didn’t realize that mate. Maybe there’s room for a tiny temp seated stand in that corner for a couple of hundred?

the gausch stand looks like it backs onto a car park and someone backyard.
