Galvin v the Tigers

Where does this rhetoric of 'Galvin and Moses bagged Marshall' keep coming from?

Is it because of the meeting between Moses and Richardson with the dossiers, which became public (presumably from Moses)?

Most of the journos are strongly implying the leaking of Galvin’s thoughts about Marshall came from Moses not the Tigers. That’s most likely, probably to try and get him released.

Galvin’s statement is telling though. If what’s been reported wasn’t true, you’d expect he would have used his statement to deny it being about Benji, but it more supported it.

I’m pretty ok with the other players making their feelings known on social media. If he and his management want to publicly criticise Marshall, he’s fair game (it’s just going to allow him to get released though).

I still can’t believe the wraps this kid gets for someone who’ll eventually fill out and most likely play 2nd row

He’s a good half if you take away his sideways crab running, shit kicking game and ball hogging ability

Luke Brooks had a better rookie season

I don’t understand the hype. But at 19 he definitely has room to develop into the player he is hyped to be.

If he joins Eels though that isn’t happening. Ryles is less experienced than Benji as a coach.

Just not under a coach who’s done it all as a half … or next to a 4x premiership winning 5/8 apparently lol

if the rumours are true about him wanting more of a voice on the field, I’m not sure Moses is much different to Luai on the field in terms of being a dominant voice

I’m starting to lean towards he just didn’t get along with the new recruits that came in and it escalated fast

I think his talented but very raw. If he matured and develops he could be a star, if he thinks he’s already made it when he signs the new deal then it could all end really bad for him.

I’ve seen less talented teenagers go on to be stars, but I’ve also seen some very talented teenagers accomplish the square root of nothing in their career.

This is another thing that’s really weird about it. There are a very few number of clubs who specify all his requirements.

The most obvious one is the Bulldogs, but Gus will lose all credibility if that ends up eventuating after his comments today about how the Tigers should release him.

Gus lost all credibility in about 1994.

It's the most blatant attempt to recruit a player since Nick Politis last played golf.

Disagree, that honour would fall to Gus’ attempts to sign DCE last week and getting on his soap box as to why the Roosters shouldn’t sign him, then throwing the toys out when Radley called him out.

This Year?

What a shitshow. This isn't the Tigers 1st rodeo with this kind of thing and how it handles the Galvin grievance will define the club on if it's improved on the Pascoe days.
Whatever the outcome I hope both sides can come out of it positively because it's f**ked seeing coaches/players/clubs being dragged through the mud while the media lap it up.
All we want as fans is to see players performing at their best and enjoy doing it in the colours they are wearing.
