Not sure that's something to be saying

I was going to reply the exact same thing. Anthony Minichiello couldn’t catch a cold when he started playing A Grade. Teams bombed him mercilessly. Hell, Douehi tormenting Gutho under the highball a few years ago still sticks out. Iongi is going to get plenty better with experience.Edwards had a lot of errors in his game when he first came into first grade.
This year is a write off and a learning experience for all our juniors coming through.
I would rather him throw passes now try things and learn from them. Because if your not trying then you as well give up.
It means he’s not being wilfully blind and/or delusional. You merkins talking about Iongi like he’s the second coming of Clive Churchill are off your f**king heads. Someone just said “we’re lucky to have him” - we may end up lucky to have him, but for the moment he’s very much a work in progress. Not sure that's something to be saying

I’m not blaming him for the loss - it was a team effort to be so f**king stupid and unable to jag it. He just happened to be a contributor to that.Well you blaming him for our last loss pretty well shows who the dololo one is.
No one is saying he is the second coming of Churchill which probably isn't that good these days compared to some of the fullbacks we have seen..
Also we are pretty lucky to have him if it's between him and Blaize I know who I am picking and I also supported that kid when he was fullback at the club.

Mate, people have been talking him up on this forum since his signing was announced as though he’s a superstar. It’s just over the top. He’s a very young player with huge potential but he’s far from being a finished product as far as being a starting first grade fullback.
Talking about us being lucky to have him is ridiculous. He would not be starting fullback at any other club in the competition. And that’s fine - everyone’s got to start somewhere, and he’ll hopefully only be better for the experience this year (as long as we don’t get annihilated every week and it f**ks his confidence). But let’s keep it in perspective.
Mate, we lost tonight on the back of a drop of a bomb that all first grade fullbacks (Iongi included) catch 98 percent of the time, and by butchering a simple two on one overlap to win the game. He’s not the least of our problems - he’s straight up a problem. He’s been really, really ordinary so far.
We replaced Gutherson with him, in circumstances where he was still contracted to us for this year. That didn’t need to happen, but it’s a punt that the club has taken with a view to a long-term outcome. I happen to think at the moment that it was the right call, but it’s a big gamble and the jury is (and for some time will be) out on whether it will end up being worth it.Btw the Fins didn't score off the back of the dropped bomb.
Also what dumb f**king argument is it that he wouldn't get a start at another club..
Of f**king course not he is 8 games into his NRL career what fullback are you replacing him for..
Also as I said luck as we would either of had Blaize or Russell at fullback.

I think Sam, jacs, walker were good
I actually think defensively, Russell was good but is clueless in attack.
This! Good talent and smart managers will pull them out of a shit team so they have a hope.I dont get what people expect from Iongi when the poor kid is playing in a wooden spoon side. You can tell the kid has above average talent but still needs experience. He should only get better. I just hope that his confidence doesn't ger broken by playing in a shit side
A few years back we had much of our backline out. No wingers and centres. Even had to play Marate Niukore in the centres. We cannot take a trick with injuries. I honestly do not remember a run like this.
Do you seriously think our R&R team are able to do just that? We’ve got to look around for more fellas like Walker and JAC. We have those two on way less than they are worth right now. We also got 2 good years out of Fergo a few years ago.
Fellas labeled dickheads but good players and probably just need some lifestyle changes.
