Putting Smith and Walker on at the same time could reap huge rewards. Both would lift intensity when they come on. Just have to handle the opening 20 minutes without a hooker, if only we could get one of those ones that can also play lock

Watched the replay and Hopgood actually wasn't too bad. But we need an attacking hooker when we were at their line. We also had Iongi go in and throw a forward pass which lead to Guthos try.

Guymer also was good in defence.

Maybe Joe was hooked due to the Gutho try.

I wonder if an option is to start Smith & Hopgood, bring Walker on midway through first half for Smith, he & Hopgood can split dummy half, then Smith to come back on in 2nd half to finish game.

I was initially thinking this but Walker is much better as the link player from dummy half.when he comes on.

Does anyone know if any site has player stats for passing/receipt of the ball?

NSWRL site does it for NSW cup but can't find any for NRL games.

Interested to see if Walker had an influence on Paulo's game (eg, confirm if Paulo did less "ball playing" this game compared to previous games and more "running")

Btw did anyone see Shane Flanagan's press conference.

He spent 2-3 mins at the start whinging about decisions but wouldn't specify what decisions.

I thought the Dragons got more of the rub of the green then what we did.

He comes across as a sook everytime he loses a game for mine.

Just before he left the field , he addressed the group in a huddle. Was quite vocal and animated . Thought it a bit weird considering he wasn’t setting an example out there but was trying to motivate the others to get stuck in..

Might be that it was pre-planned just to play the opening role only and was voicing a parting speech ?

Junior was immense for 72min. Climbing the ladder to becoming one of the best props in the comp again

I wouldnt be extending Joffa after this year.

Has a losing stench about him.

And could have won it here as well last year.

He doesn't impact games enough to justify keeping and whatever off field impact he may have doesn't rub onto on field success
