@Nutz if you listened to the interviews, I'm trying to work out what was said to AD where he shut it down immediately. Any clues?

Two things,
1. When he was being baited on the possibility of him playing for one of the new teams, AD said he doesn't want to talk about that but when asked again he replied "Never say never"
2. When asked would he play SOO for NSW or his country of origin he wouldn't comment.
I thought just making the NRL side would be his goal and not SOO. :)

It's been said a few times on LU that AD might end up in Perth. He is his own manager.
Maybe he's taking advice from us. :)

My point was, he like many do tend to produce a bit more when they are coming off contract.
It was my point as well, I'm agreeing with ya :)
It's like every game, when these players future is uncertaiin, is a showcase of their talent. Like a job interview.

What's your thought on this, an adult asking for selfies, while the player are eating or on the phone.
Some were happy to do it, others were not.

Only a portion of this gets reported. Guys having lunch. I personally would have said go the Tigers and leave them alone.
Players are hounded all the time.

They do enough to promote the game at schools and functions and open days, they are human and believe it or not they have a life.

They are professional footy players. I think they have to expect the attention.
I'm saying that you don't see everything that goes on. Professional or not my expectations of my team is to be professional on the field first and foremost. As long as they're are respectful off the field then that's all that matters. They have so many media commitments, school appearances, training open days, bbq's, signing days, after match selfies and photos etc etc.
I can only imagine how many times they get harassed when all they want to do is read the paper over a cuppa.
As Tm said it's a grown man. If a little kid approached them, different story.
Besides, it was filmed with others lurking around, a bit of a stitch up and you don't know the full lead up to this, anything else is speculation......and he's a Rooster's fan ha ha.

I get it but hey what do you do. I remember being blind drunk at the snow fields and talking to a famous surfer. The funny thing is I had to walk away because he kept chatting. He was probably pissed as well.

I think the lads handled that selfie situation fine and the bloke was a class A farktard.

Personally, I don't get selfie's and the whole celebrity culture thing. It's fine if you're a kid but if you're an adult a 'go the tigers' as you're walking past is it. Show your support without annoying anyone.

The players do have a public profile but no one was rude to this guy when they knocked him back. Conversely, he was rude and cracked back when Royce told him no. The public don't own the players and it's OK to politely say no.

While today was a shocker, just to put the season in perspective:
The Cows are 6th on 11 pts, with 4W, 1D and a bye.
The Broncs are 7th on 10 pts, with 5W.
The Sea Eagles are 8th on 10 pts, with a 4W and a bye.
The Rorters are 9th on 10 pts, with 4W and a bye.
We are 10th on 10 pts, with 5W.
The Bunnies are 11th on 10 pts, with 5W.

I think it's too tight to call the top 8 at this stage.
